Journey along with Emry and me as we open the door to a scary story! Not unlike those told around the campfire when we were kids, but alas, this is a true story. Emry does a masterful job of walking us through her Hero's Journey on a cold night in Alberta. We will hear the backstory from Emry, not unlike the other Hero's Journeys we have heard. There are mini journey's she and we have all gone through; surviving a rough childhood, or trauma, or other life challenges. Emry tells us how this fateful night was a turning point for her. I know her as a being becoming, a powerful young indigenous woman who is learning from her journeys. She will relate her ability to dance between the material world and the unseen world. She has a bright mind, a big heart, and sincerity which I find refreshing for a younger generation than myself. I hope hearing about her journey serves you. To hear the scary story, but also to appreciate Emry and to encourage her on her continuing journey. Which in turn encourages....you!

In our 21st Century World we all strive to embody our ‘best selves’. It takes courage, conviction and some discipline to create those changes. Fortunately, one of the most powerful tools for transformation available to all of us is inspiration. It has been said, “If I can speak from my mind, I can change your mind, and if I can speak from my heart, I can change your heart, but if I speak from my life, my story, I can change your life”. This is the essence of this new podcast ‘Finding Joe, The Hero’s Journey’. You will hear from individuals, many not unlike yourself. You will understand the classic Hero’s Journey, a phrase coined by the esteemed scholar Joseph Campbell. It describes the process, the journey, the story we all share in small or large ways. There is a beginning to the journey- you are going along in life and there is a change, a fork in the road. Then you come up to a challenge/battle/block which you uniquely move through and beyond. Finally, you return, you come back into life, but wiser, and uniquely transformed by the journey itself.
