  • Releasing Rigidity and Embracing Our Timelines
    2024/09/14

We're talking today about timelines and the breaking, bending, resetting, and releasing of goals or objectives that are bullshit in the face of what we're dealing with.

Caitlin is almost a year post-surgery and finishing up her MPH and is ready for change but not sure if her body can handle. Steph is trying out a new infusion for her MG and balancing expectations on symptom alleviation. Join us as we discuss when the rigidity has to go and how we can more deeply love ourselves exactly where we are.

  • Over the Moon and Under the Knife
    2024/02/04

“The best analogy is that a two-hour operation is about as hard on your body as running a 5-kilometer race as fast as you can go. If you were going to do a 5K, you would train for it. It also makes sense that our patients should train for surgery."
    - Michael Englesbe, MD

In today's episode, Caitlin and Steph chat about surgery. Caitlin has had two back surgeries and Steph is preparing for a thymectomy. Preparation for surgery is something we don't always think about. Often times, we don't realize the impact we can have on surgical and post-surgical outcomes. Diet, routine, meditation, and creating a network of support are all important elements of healing post-surgery. Listen in for more!

  • Second and Third Opinions
    2024/01/30

In this episode, Caitlin and Steph explore when you know it is the right time to go for a second and, even, third opinion. Finding the "right treatment" is not linear - often times it takes a team bringing different perspectives/approaches to the table. Our hope is that you walk away from this episode with helpful questions and tools to explore what might be next for you on your journey to healing.
