    If you are an athlete who struggles with mental health this episode is for you. As a current student-athlete I wanted to dedicate two episodes on how sports can impact an individuals mental health, both positively and negatively. Mental health is a vital part in our lives, and it's not talked about enough especially in athletes. A huge contributor to performing well is having a strong mind. Having poor mental health as an athlete can affect your performance and increase the risk of a physical injury. I hope this episode on the negative impacts doesn't resonate with anyone listening, but if it does I hope it helps and to let you know you are not alone.

  • invest in yourself

    in relationships, the majority of the time we want to go out of the way for someone to express our love and appreciation for them but lack in doing that for ourselves. so this week anna is pushing the importance of doing things for yourself! sometimes life can get in the way & we tend to push aside our personal needs. investing in yourself is important to create the life you want to live, either currently or in the future.  listen and let me know what you think!

  • setting boundaries & sticking to them.

    On this lovely week, we are learning how to set boundaries. Anna is pushing the importance of not only setting boundaries but sticking to them and the process of reinforcing those boundaries you set for yourself if people don't want to listen. This is a form of self-care to protect your personal space, and it helps guard your soul. As humans we all deserve respect and have that right for setting our own personal limits.

    As authentic as she can be talking into a microphone, this week, Anna is talking about being your true self. How hard can that be, right? Society has taught us that we need to fit in to be liked. Seeking approval from our peers has come naturally to us as humans in this generation, especially through social media. These pressures in life are just that, nothing more. You don't have to change who you are to be accepted by others. In fact, you become the person people look up to when you carry that confidence and pride in being who you are. Your personality is authentic and so are your imperfections, embrace it.

  • existentialism: taking your power back

    Anna is discussing how to take your power back and regaining control in your life through the concept of existentialism. As humans we are in a constant state of transition and existentialism teaches empowerment in an oppressive society. In this episode we are learning how to take and accept responsibility for our choices and actions to live up to the human definition: being completely free.
