If you are an athlete who struggles with mental health this episode is for you. As a current student-athlete I wanted to dedicate two episodes on how sports can impact an individuals mental health, both positively and negatively. Mental health is a vital part in our lives, and it's not talked about enough especially in athletes. A huge contributor to performing well is having a strong mind. Having poor mental health as an athlete can affect your performance and increase the risk of a physical injury. I hope this episode on the negative impacts doesn't resonate with anyone listening, but if it does I hope it helps and to let you know you are not alone.
