Opelousas has won Music Victoria Award for Best Blues Album for the ‘Opelousified’ album that had reach the Top 10 and for 9 months it has been in the Australian Blues & Roots Charts. And NOW in Ocober won 2024 ‘Blues Album Of The Year’ for ‘Opelousafried’. The Melbourne based trio are all well-known veteran musicians Kerri Simpson, Alison Ferrier & Anthony Shortte who got together in 2018.

Kerri Simpson, vocals, guitar and songwriter has released 8 albums. Her Confessin’ the Blues was nominated for an ARIA while Sun Gonna Shine was #1 in the Oz Roots charts for nine weeks, gaining her US airplay and appearances at festivals across Australia. Kerri has played and collaborated with some of the world’s best, including Dr John, Keb Mo, Kylie Minogue, Glenn Skuthorpe, Geoff Achison, Matt Walker and Chris Wilson. In 2024 Kerri co-wrote and performed on the title track of Jeff Langs ' More Life" album. In November she will be Inducted the Victorian Blues Music Hall Of Fame.
Alison Ferrier, vocals, guitar, fiddle and song writer has recorded three albums including ‘What She Knows’ and one with husband Jeff Lang as High Ace, besides the Opelousas albums.
Anthony Shortte, drums, percussion is well known as member of the ARIA Award winning Collard Greens and Gravy and Dan Dinnen & the Houndlings.

Richard Ashby is a composer and versatile guitarist performing from gypsy folk and jazz, modern jazz guitar, blues and contemporary music styles. The recently released ‘Charlton Road’ is his fourth album.

Richard Ashby has regularly performed on the Sydney scene for several years. Richard has previously performed and recorded two albums “Voyages” and “Spyglass Gypsies” with his gypsy-jazz group the Spyglass Gypsies that had performed at the Many Jazz Festival & the Oz Manouche Festival. The group has also performed at community festivals, music festivals, historical sites, art shows, corporate events, jazz and contemporary music venues, as well as being featured on radio. Richard also performs as Richard Ashby & the Tonewheels a blues, boogaloo and soul-jazz group.

The new album features mandolin, resonator slide and banjo for a more acoustic treatment.

Jack Nolan is a singer songwriter based in Sydney, Australia, who’s s been performing and releasing music and albums since the mid 90’s. Jack also fronted The Kelly Gang, with Rick Grossman, bassist for The Divinyls and Hoodoo Gurus along with Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst and guitar player Martin Rotsey.

Jeff Lang is a popular headline artist with his national and international tours and at leading music festivals. He has had numerous television appearances. He is a prolific recording artist releasing 27 albums (17 Studio albums, 1 Soundtrack, 7 Live albums, 2 Compilation albums). The Sports formed in 1976 and had charting success with a number of their singles with “Who Listens to the Radio” which charted in the US Billboard Pop Singles Chart and still getting radio airplay on classic rock stations. They won TV Weeks King Of Pop Awards for “Most Popular New Group” in 1978. Their “Don’t Throw Stones” Gold album listed in the 100 Best Australian Albums book. In their debut EP as UK New Musical Express (NME) declared they as “Record of the Week”, and their records were released in Australia, the UK, USA and internationally. They toured Australia and the UK with Graham Parker & the Rumour. Their Sydney Opera House forecourt Concert had 100,000 people. Their four studio albums all charted.

Andrew Pendlebury, guitar, vocals and songwriting was with The Sports from 1976 to 1981 and when they reformed in 1998. He won the ARIA Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album for his solo work “Don’t Hold Back That Feeling”. He has released 7 solo albums and 3 with the Mercurials and is recording and performs with Steve Pinkerton as Pinkerton & Pendlebury.

The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), a not-for-profit company dedicated to helping ROADIES during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the roadies desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.

The new album follows the success of their previous three releases on Big Rock Records that had received national airplay and charting in the Australian Blues & Roots Charts. The Durham Projects performances are getting great reviews and many repeat bookings at the venues were they have played.

The new release and their previous albums are out on the legendary Big Rock Records label.
