    Opelousas has won Music Victoria Award for Best Blues Album for the ‘Opelousified’ album that had reach the Top 10 and for 9 months it has been in the Australian Blues & Roots Charts. And NOW in Ocober won 2024 ‘Blues Album Of The Year’ for ‘Opelousafried’. The Melbourne based trio are all well-known veteran musicians Kerri Simpson, Alison Ferrier & Anthony Shortte who got together in 2018.

    Kerri Simpson, vocals, guitar and songwriter has released 8 albums. Her Confessin’ the Blues was nominated for an ARIA while Sun Gonna Shine was #1 in the Oz Roots charts for nine weeks, gaining her US airplay and appearances at festivals across Australia. Kerri has played and collaborated with some of the world’s best, including Dr John, Keb Mo, Kylie Minogue, Glenn Skuthorpe, Geoff Achison, Matt Walker and Chris Wilson. In 2024 Kerri co-wrote and performed on the title track of Jeff Langs ' More Life" album. In November she will be Inducted the Victorian Blues Music Hall Of Fame.
    Alison Ferrier, vocals, guitar, fiddle and song writer has recorded three albums including ‘What She Knows’ and one with husband Jeff Lang as High Ace, besides the Opelousas albums.
    Anthony Shortte, drums, percussion is well known as member of the ARIA Award winning Collard Greens and Gravy and Dan Dinnen & the Houndlings.

    Matt Arthur, since moving from Sydney to Orange in the NSW Central West ten years ago he has been touring through NSW regional areas, Sydney, Queensland and Victoria.

    Matt performs as a solo singer songwriter and with his band Matt Arthur & The Lazybones. He has released two albums, “On Their Shoulders” and his new 2024 album “Then & Now” released on CD & Vinyl.
