In 1987, author Steven Kunes began his morning visits to the Alfred Coffee Shop on Melrose Place in LA. He soon found himself seated within earshot of a regular group of aspiring young actresses and couldn’t believe the things he overheard. It didn’t take long for Kunes to make notes of these conversations, which he did in the composition book he carried specifically for this mission.
