In this heartfelt first episode of Turn On The Eats, I sit down with my niece, Alissa Tolfa (Faiella), to share the inspiring story of how she stepped up to continue her father’s legacy.

Two years after the passing of the late Pizza Masters owner, Mark Faiella, Alissa and her husband, Adam Tolfa, have embraced the challenge of running the beloved Hopewell pizza shop. In our conversation, we discuss the exciting updates and modernizations they’ve made, from adapting to new technology and online ordering trends to refining business marketing strategies.

Beyond the changes, we also reflect on the deep connections within the Pizza Masters community—customers and employees who knew Mark and still cherish his generosity, passion, and love for serving others. Alissa shares what it was like growing up in the shop, learning the business from her dad, and how she ultimately made the decision to take over, despite not knowing at a young age if this would be her path.

Now at the helm, Alissa is carrying forward the heart and soul of Pizza Masters, honoring her father’s dream with every pizza she serves. We both know Mark is watching over, proud as ever.
