I've been having fun creating non-branded, non-niche and non-marketing content on this channel. This is an experiment in progress, but I do have a hunch that this is the way forward.

Today, I talk about my idea about building an intentional audience and about what it means to be an intentional content creator. We live in an era of increasingly competent AI generated content. Soon, it will be possible for anyone to create virtually unlimited, generic, AI content in any medium. What does this mean for the future of content creators. And maybe more importantly: what does it mean for the future of content consumption?

Let's dive into some bold predictions about people getting zombified by algorithmic content and a potential golden age for authentic, human content.

    Chapters:

    00:00 Intro

01:01 The Death of Generic Content

02:30 ChatGPT came just in time

03:37 How it This Good News?!

    04:44 Compulsive Consumption

    06:44 The New Wealth Gap

07:42 A Golden Age for Human Content

09:08 The Business Case for Intentional Audience Building

    14:56 Information Diet

16:03 How I Curate My Feed

When you're trying to be productive, you're doing something that is making you less productive and more prone to procrastination.

My approach to work and productivity has changed a lot over recent years. What I've found is that there is a way to try less hard, to be less stressed, to feel less pressure and as a result, get more done, much more easily.

As I've explored this, I found something really surprising: when we procrastinate, we are not actually trying to avoid the difficulty of the task in front of us. The discomfort and suffering we're trying to avoid is actually entirely self-inflicted. But you have to pay really close attention to notice this.

So today, let's look at how you can discover this in yourself and how you can stop self sabotaging in this particular way.

    Chapters:

    00:00 Intro

    00:41 Higher Ice Cream Probability

01:41 Trying Hard to Fall Asleep

02:26 Why Trying to Work Hard Doesn't Work

    04:03 What You're Really Avoiding

04:55 Is Hard Work Actually Hard?

05:54 What this Means About Procrastination

    07:36 Lack of Clarity

    09:12 Putting it Into Practice

11:05 Where Does All This Tension Come From?

    11:51 How to Unclench

13:32 My Best Performance Comes When I Try Less

    15:02 What to Do Next

  • How to ACTUALLY Process & Release Your Emotions
    2024/07/30

There's a lot of talk about "processing emotions" and most of it is frankly unhelpful. As someone who used to suffer from depression a lot, dealing with heavy emotions has been an important topic in my life. I've found that most of what people do to "process" emotions is really just avoiding emotions, with extra steps.

I've also found that NOT processing emotions comes at a steep cost. We become emotionally bogged down and it becomes a burden on all aspects of life. Also, this all starts way further back, when we make the mistake of being overly attached to labels of "good" and "bad" emotions.

In this video, I share what DOESN'T work as well as the only thing I've ever found that DOES actually work for processing emotions and relieving yourself from that emotional burden.
