One of Perry’s mentors say that the primary way we’re changed from inside out on our journey of faith is through daily repentance. Perry’s been wrestling with that in light of other scriptures that say otherwise and he bounces it off Jeremy.
Bible questions answered by Jeremy in today’s episode!
Dr. Jeremy Grinnell earned his PhD in Systematic Theology from Calvin Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI, and taught at a West Michigan seminary for 15 years.
Hank asks, “God commands us to rest on the Sabbath. The Sabbath is literally Saturday. Am I disobeying God by resting on Sunday??”
Dave asks, “Is baptism required for salvation?” Stephanie asks, “The Apostle’s Creed says ‘Jesus descended into hell.’ Did he really go to hell or was it the horror of the cross, of his separation from God that was considered hell?”
Jim asks, “Jesus always made glorifying His Father the priority. At His death He says ‘Now glorify the Son.’ So, should we now be praying the Lord’s Prayer by saying, ‘Hallowed be your Names,’ since Jesus is now glorified with the Father?”
And Scotts asks, “At our Maundy Thursday sermon this year, the pastor said ‘Jesus and his disciples likely did not eat lamb at His last supper, but just the bread and wine and bitter herbs.’ I’ve never heard that before. What are your thoughts Dr. J?”
