    Amazon is quietly sending Sponsored Products ads to other websites.

    These off-site placements crush performance: conversion rates collapse, ACoS jumps to around 80%, and most of the spend never shows up in your ad console.

    Every campaign starts in "Maximize Reach", so you end up paying for clicks you can't track—and you can't fix it in bulk unless you use a tool like AdLabs.

    Off-site spend that used to be pocket change now eats 6-7% of some budgets, and no one knows where the ads even appear.

    Amazon PPC management demands a seamless blend of science and art: formulas handle the math (bids, day-parting, placement adjustments) while human judgment steers campaign structure, date-range choice, bid-change limits, and target ACoS.

    Effective managers flex their look-back windows—using longer ranges for routine, data-rich optimizations and shorter ones to stop sudden performance anomalies—and vary bid limits and ACoS targets according to product life-cycle, competition, and profit goals.

    Beyond the numbers, they continually troubleshoot drops in traffic or conversion by probing listing changes, search-volume shifts, budget caps, keyword mix, stock levels, and competitor moves, then craft strategies such as new keyword harvesting or campaign restructuring.

    Because automated tools can’t weigh these broader business and market signals, the real edge comes from a PPC strategist’s ability to interpret data, adapt inputs on the fly, and balance risk with growth.
