Over the last 20 years, I have helped more than 400 organizations define their purpose and become consistently uniquely remarkable through his proprietary Blueprint process. "Blueprinting" defines an organization's purpose – in 7 words or less – and uses it to design how it will operate and communicate.
I am also an author, speaker and coach, as well as a contributor to a nationally broadcast TV station. I co-wrote the book "Why should I choose you?: Answering the most important question in business in seven words or less", published by HarperCollins.
I am also the Chief Purpose Officer of PurposeU. I have adapted this process for individuals so they can create a personal Blueprint for a happy, productive, self-directed and purpose-driven life. I'm Marcus, a 'communication coach' for parents of preteens. I help business professionals who are parents of 10 to 14 year olds effectively show up and connect with their preteen during these key formative years, in order to secure a relationship that lasts beyond a lifetime.
As a former missionary and high school English teacher, over my 15+ year career, l've:

• Worked with learners from 20+ countries as a teacher and mentor. This work experience has given me a deep insight into how young people relate to their parents, family, and our world.

• Founded a growing 'book community', 'Putting Parenting Books into Action', that helps parents show up for their preteens and connect with similar parents who share their experiences.

• Authored 'Inspire Life Through Words Series', a published set of personal inspirational poetry intended to create well-being. i Just for Fun On a lighter note, when I'm not deep in conversations with 'present' parents or teens, I'm Latin dancing (Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba) and moving my body through Crossfit and other sports. At age 2, my father passed away in a car accident. At age 26, after getting into a nearly fatal car accident myself, I questioned everything I was doing in life. I questioned who I was and the choices I was making. I was at an all-time low. Filled with regret, I searched for answers and found two of the brightest lights I had ever seen. The first bright light was a book by Bronnie Ware entitled, “The Top 5 Regrets of the Dying,” and the second was a Ted Talk by Tony Robbins. Both of these resources helped me find my way and guided me to make the choice of going ALL IN on self-improvement to design a life of meaning and purpose. On this self-improvement journey, I have learned I believe in a heart-driven but NO BS approach to inspiring, motivating, and educating others on what it REALLY takes to get to the Next Level.
