  • Upton Sinclair Is Categorically Not Rudyard Kipling
    2025/05/19

Pro tip, kids: if you want to make sure that steamy copy of turn-of-the-century anti-capitalist literature that's only ninety nine cents on the Kindle store isn't actually a beloved children's bedtime story about being raised by wolves in the jungle in disguise, buy books from a real bookstore, not the digital marketplace from hell.

If you're still following along after that trainwreck of a run-on sentence, Hey, Welcome to The Show!

It's time for MORNING RADIO, TBD!

    This week on the program!

Josh and Ryan had a bit of a problematic connection on their cross-continental weekly shoutfest, so give 'em some grace for the pace this week. Anyway, they get back into it over AI and how it's ruining our brains. Is your brain not ruined? Good, don't use AI, it'll ruin your brain. Is your brain already ruined? Stop using AI!

AI's bad, folks. It's just bad. There's not a good use case.

    Don't at us.

Anyanyway, the boys talk about some other stuff, too. I don't think Zelda came up in this episode, that's kind of a shame. Maybe next week.

Hey, leave a comment if you read any of this, if you ever read any of these, and if you're upset this one isn't as clever as the others and is just a calling out of our laxidasical audience who doesn't do the reading part.

I'm kidding, we love our audience, we don't begrudge you.

Yeah, I know laxidasical is spelled wrong, do you know how to spell it?

Did you spell check it with AI?

    Sigh.

    I knew it.

  • With Regards to "The Orlando Show"
    2025/05/12

Do you remember what it was like to be bored?

I mean, really, think about it for a second. When was the last time you literally had nothing to do? That you couldn't just reach for the little super-computer-in-a-pane-of-glass in your pocket and find a way to distract yourself?

    When?

    WHEN I ASK YOU?!

Well, this week on Morning Radio, TBD, the boys are waxing nostalgic about the good ol' days of being bored.

And the absolutely, astonishingly wonderful era of creativity that it ushered in for us when we were young.

Being bored lead to more thinking. To more freewheeling conversations among random friends. To absurdity being realized for its own sake and not for monetization or clout. Not everything had to be productive or producing. Sometimes we just wanted to be not bored. And we found ridiculous, beautiful, stupid, inspiring, cockamamie ways to fill that boredom void.

Here's an ode to being bored. And a reminicince of a time when Ryan was the antihero of a little known, but well rememebered, internet tv show known as The Orlando Show.

It's another light one on the Morning Radio this week. Have fun y'all.

  • Morning Radio Presents "The Legend of Zelda Hour" Special Hour and a Half
    2025/05/05

A glorious three hour salute to all video games, but mostly "The Legend of Zelda".

Only it's not three hours, its just a little under 90 minutes after the truncate silence trimmer does its job.

And it's not just The Legend of Zelda, we talk about some other video games, but, c'mon, are any of the other video games out there really that important? It's the freaking Legend of Zelda...

Josh and Ryan put away their adultish things this week and decide to walk and talk like children again. Not in the literal sense of having objectively bad grammar, a tenuous grasp on syntax and diction, and not knowing the correct meaning of words (Yeah, I'm making fun of how kids talk, at me in the comments, bro), but like in the nostalgic sense of talking about things that seem fun and feel good cause it turns out the world might be a spinning hellscape and our anxiety got the better of us.

That was a run on sentence. No one notices. No one gets this far. I could say whatever I want and you'd have no idea. You smell bad. Go take a shower. Did you read that? Then you have no clue I just took a shot at your personal hygiene.

    //Shiny and chrome.

Anyway, it's a nostalgia episode. No current events, no nuttiness with politicis or DoorDash or dirt cups or nunna that stuff. I don't know, just settle in, have a listen, put on some vaporwave and pretend like its 1991 again, you've got a cold Pepsi in your hand, the feel of the carpet under your knees and the warm glow of an old television in your eyes as you delve into mystical video game worlds and wonder about what incredible things the future will hold...

  • Queen is Overrated. Yeah, I Said It.
    2025/04/28

Debate me, bro. Show me what you got.

This week on MORNING RADIO, TBD...

    SCANDAL!

The whole studio erupts with incoherent, nonsensical arugments about DoorDash, the music of the band Queen, and the genius of Vincent D'Onofrio's performance as the Edgar Suit in Men In Black. Seriously, EVERYONE gets into it on this one: our sound editor, the copy guy, our chief researcher: the benches literally clear so that we can all get in absolutely heated debates about the merits of these things.

    Because these things matter.

These are the questions people want to ask but are too afraid to ask because they're being censored by the radical left lunatics who run the internets.

You know we don't pull punches here on MORNING RADIO TBD. If you want to hear the real story, the real truth that they don't want you to know about whether or not Guns'n'Roses is an overrated, overhyped, flash-in-the-pan, then you need to keep your earholes tuned right here. No need to wear earplugs: brain worms are just a myth perpetuated by the deep state media.

All this and MORE! On this week's SEISMIC episode of Morning Radio, TBD!

  • Execute Episode 66
    2025/04/21

You read that in the Palpatine voice, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU? C'mon, we know our audience. If you jive with Josh and Ryan, if you find anything even remotely listenable... listenific?... listenafiability about this podcast, you read the episode name in the voice of Darth Sidious, aka Emperor Palpatine, when he gave the order to have the Jedi destroyed and their temple overrun in what is arguably one of the darkest and most poignant moments in the entire Star Wars franchise.

    Anway, that said.

Everything is terrible, things are more expensive and the stock market is fake.

Wanna hear Josh's quandary about the Switch 2 and how tarrifs are going to impact his ability to acquire one? You've come to the right place?

Excited to hear Ryan's creeping nihilism wash over him in a depressive tidal wave of defeat and collapse? This is the podcast for you.

If you're still reading, maybe you're expecting a twist where we go back to Star Wars references and suddenly things brighten up?

    Hm.

These aren't the droids you're looking for. You can go about your business.

Member... member when Obi-Wan said that?

  • Airplane!
    2025/04/07

Put your seatback into its upright and locked position, raise your traytables, make your last move for the armrest, we're landing this thing, it's time for

    Morning Radio, TBD!

    This week, on the program!

Airplanes! All kinds of airplanes talk. We'll talk about bags on airplanes. Pilots on airplanes. DEI on airplanes. Greedflation on airplanes. And all the implications of late stage capitalism on the price of an airplanes ticket on airplanes. The overuse of the plural IS intentional, don't at us, we don't care!

    PLUS!

Does rereading a book make you an anxious person?! We investigate! But not too much, because that's triggering and we need to be in our safe space.

    AND!

Well there isn't much else in the 'and' category because we end up spending more than an hour just talking about airplanes.

    Have fun with airplanes, folks!

    It's an airplanes episode!

  • r/Conservative Should Sit This One Out
    2025/03/31

Trigger warning for all our mild-mannered listeners of gentle and amenable persuasion out there: it's an angry episode. Like really angry. Like, The Lead Pipe makes a roaring comeback, and The Wall is not an appropriate barrier to stop his rage. So like... maybe make sure there are no children in the room for this one. Or elderly folks. Or those with high blood pressure, heart problems, sound and logical mindsets, or a cheery outgoing disposition.

IT'S SIGNALGATE 2025! ITS WHISKEYLEAKS! The stupidity is astonishing, but is the creeping fascism worse?!?! We'll discuss how much authoritarianism YOU should be worried about, and whether or not that salad in the back of your fridge is secretly plotting to steal your retirement fund (spoiler, it isn't; that salad has a solid investment portfolio with well-diversified assets. And yes, spoiler in reference to a salad IS a pun; we thought you deserved a joke considering the incoming rage bomb that is about to splatter all over your morning commute).

    PLUS!

Josh has movie news! Movie news a-plenty! Did you know they're still making Marvel movies?! Ryan didn't! Josh has the scoop!

    AND!

We've got an exclusive interview with Little Miss Muffet to discuss how the incoming tariffs on dairy products will impact her Whey business! You won't want to miss this!

(The above statement cannot be verified for veracity or virtue, and should not be taken as a statement of fact).

ASMR Trigger Warning: Ryan's flu symptoms may soothe you to sleep or drive you into a rage, we'll let you decide! It's a St. Patrick's Day special episode of Morning Radio, TBD!

    This week, on the program!

Absolutely nothing to do with St. Patrick's Day! Instead, we've got a full helping of conversational swings that are so wild, you'll wonder where you left your socks and why your shirt is on backwards! That's right! We've got discussions of Victorian maladies of the humours, the edifices of the music of "Chah-Pin", and just what the heck happens to pianos on their journey from manufacturing on the East Coast to the saloons of the wild west!

    Plus!

Our main story: Ryan and Josh discuss the humanity(?) of Artificial Intelligence and what it means for the way people process(?) relationships. Oh yeah, that's right, its a full on tangle up allegory of epic proportions. You won't wanna miss this one!
