Join Josh Rigdon and Ryan Cipriani, hosts of the popular film criticism podcast 'CineMEH' for a weekly, acerbic wade through the pool of current events, pop culture, chicanery, and absurdity! It's like talk radio, without all those pesky, annoying musical interludes. That's right: if you think musicals would be better if they would just, you know, say stuff instead of sing about it, this podcast is for you!Josh Rigdon and Ryan Cipriani 政治・政府

Pro tip, kids: if you want to make sure that steamy copy of turn-of-the-century anti-capitalist literature that's only ninety nine cents on the Kindle store isn't actually a beloved children's bedtime story about being raised by wolves in the jungle in disguise, buy books from a real bookstore, not the digital marketplace from hell.

If you're still following along after that trainwreck of a run-on sentence, Hey, Welcome to The Show!

It's time for MORNING RADIO, TBD!

    This week on the program!

Josh and Ryan had a bit of a problematic connection on their cross-continental weekly shoutfest, so give 'em some grace for the pace this week. Anyway, they get back into it over AI and how it's ruining our brains. Is your brain not ruined? Good, don't use AI, it'll ruin your brain. Is your brain already ruined? Stop using AI!

AI's bad, folks. It's just bad. There's not a good use case.

    Don't at us.

Anyanyway, the boys talk about some other stuff, too. I don't think Zelda came up in this episode, that's kind of a shame. Maybe next week.

Hey, leave a comment if you read any of this, if you ever read any of these, and if you're upset this one isn't as clever as the others and is just a calling out of our laxidasical audience who doesn't do the reading part.

I'm kidding, we love our audience, we don't begrudge you.

Yeah, I know laxidasical is spelled wrong, do you know how to spell it?

Did you spell check it with AI?

    Sigh.

    I knew it.

  • With Regards to "The Orlando Show"
    2025/05/12

Do you remember what it was like to be bored?

I mean, really, think about it for a second. When was the last time you literally had nothing to do? That you couldn't just reach for the little super-computer-in-a-pane-of-glass in your pocket and find a way to distract yourself?

    When?

    WHEN I ASK YOU?!

Well, this week on Morning Radio, TBD, the boys are waxing nostalgic about the good ol' days of being bored.

And the absolutely, astonishingly wonderful era of creativity that it ushered in for us when we were young.

Being bored lead to more thinking. To more freewheeling conversations among random friends. To absurdity being realized for its own sake and not for monetization or clout. Not everything had to be productive or producing. Sometimes we just wanted to be not bored. And we found ridiculous, beautiful, stupid, inspiring, cockamamie ways to fill that boredom void.

Here's an ode to being bored. And a reminicince of a time when Ryan was the antihero of a little known, but well rememebered, internet tv show known as The Orlando Show.

It's another light one on the Morning Radio this week. Have fun y'all.

  • Morning Radio Presents "The Legend of Zelda Hour" Special Hour and a Half
    2025/05/05

A glorious three hour salute to all video games, but mostly "The Legend of Zelda".

Only it's not three hours, its just a little under 90 minutes after the truncate silence trimmer does its job.

And it's not just The Legend of Zelda, we talk about some other video games, but, c'mon, are any of the other video games out there really that important? It's the freaking Legend of Zelda...

Josh and Ryan put away their adultish things this week and decide to walk and talk like children again. Not in the literal sense of having objectively bad grammar, a tenuous grasp on syntax and diction, and not knowing the correct meaning of words (Yeah, I'm making fun of how kids talk, at me in the comments, bro), but like in the nostalgic sense of talking about things that seem fun and feel good cause it turns out the world might be a spinning hellscape and our anxiety got the better of us.

That was a run on sentence. No one notices. No one gets this far. I could say whatever I want and you'd have no idea. You smell bad. Go take a shower. Did you read that? Then you have no clue I just took a shot at your personal hygiene.

    //Shiny and chrome.

Anyway, it's a nostalgia episode. No current events, no nuttiness with politicis or DoorDash or dirt cups or nunna that stuff. I don't know, just settle in, have a listen, put on some vaporwave and pretend like its 1991 again, you've got a cold Pepsi in your hand, the feel of the carpet under your knees and the warm glow of an old television in your eyes as you delve into mystical video game worlds and wonder about what incredible things the future will hold...
