For many, communicating without conflict can be a challenge. Some even believe that arguing is an essential part of every relationship. Personally, I see it differently. I believe that when you trust your partner is speaking from a place of love and genuine care—not harm—you can begin to listen with more openness and less defensiveness. While it’s true that some people have only known communication through conflict, I don’t believe that has to be the norm. There are healthier, more loving ways to express ourselves and be heard.
