In December, the Lord spoke to me and said, “2025 is to be a year of Sowing.” When I released the full word the Lord gave me to share in January, part of the word had to do with us being intentional and careful with what we are sowing this year with our words, actions, and deeds.

Today, we are tackling the topic of sowing and reaping and what God has in mind for us to sow into for 2025. The Parable of the Sower isn’t just about receiving the Gospel, but it has to do with our hearts and how we are ready to receive the Gospel at the time of salvation and afterwards as well. Our words, actions and deeds come from what we think and what we believe. So let’s ask ourselves “What am I Sowing?”

"Choosing the better thing" means to choose or select the option that holds greater value or importance. This often means prioritizing a more meaningful or long lasting benefit over something that may seem appealing in the moment. Over the next few weeks I am revisiting the Word for 2025 that I released last week and breaking down certain parts.

This week I want to look at what it means to choose the better thing, and how we may need to bring a balance to the Martha and Mary within each of us. Luke 10:38-42 tells us of the interaction between Jesus and Martha when she gets frustrated by her sister Mary not helping her in the Kitchen serving, but instead choosing to sit at Jesus’ feet thereby “choosing the better thing” at that moment.

It is a year of sowing, a year of covenant, a year of prioritizing thankfulness, and an invitation to choose the “better thing.” And as you press in to implement these things, it will be a year of divine revelation, battles and victories.
