  • "Choosing the better thing" means to choose or select the option that holds greater value or importance. This often means prioritizing a more meaningful or long lasting benefit over something that may seem appealing in the moment. Over the next few weeks I am revisiting the Word for 2025 that I released last week and breaking down certain parts.

    This week I want to look at what it means to choose the better thing, and how we may need to bring a balance to the Martha and Mary within each of us. Luke 10:38-42 tells us of the interaction between Jesus and Martha when she gets frustrated by her sister Mary not helping her in the Kitchen serving, but instead choosing to sit at Jesus’ feet thereby “choosing the better thing” at that moment.
