  • Be Coachable - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tue. 2-4-25 #1474
    2025/02/04

I found a post from Ball is Psych (@BallisPsych) that is so true for all of us, not just athletes. The story is connected to Michael Jordan, one of the best basketball players ever to play the game. It starts out with the thought that “ the easier you are to lead, the further you will go.” We all need to realize that if we are open to improving, we can go places. That improvement can come from a few different sources. Outside coaching is something that sure does help in all areas of life. We can only go so far if we are always thinking that we know everything. Being humble, learning to listen, and being open to learning, that all helps us to go farther. It’s best said at the end of this story - “To go far, be easy to lead. Don’t just tolerate coaching, welcome it, embrace it, and be grateful for the opportunity to grow.” I know I need it in so many areas and I am open to getting better for sure. Hope you are too. • Two Things To Remember - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 2-3-25 #1473
    2025/02/03

This caught my eye simply because of its simple truth and the fact I’ve been connecting to this idea that we as humans have thousands and thousands of thoughts every single day. Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) put this out: “Two things to remember in life: Take care of your thoughts when you are alone, and take care of your words when you are with people.” I’m really working hard - intentionally focusing on my thoughts and how they affect me throughout my day. I’ve tried to always watch my words when I’m with others, but not so much my thoughts when I’m alone. Thanks to some recent reading and this quote, along with some other things I’m noticing and connecting with in life - I am grateful for taking a bit more control over my thoughts. I hope you can pick this up as well. Thanks for listening. • Life Will Never Wait - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1472
    2025/02/03

I found something that really connected with me as I’ve been learning about the struggles of so many people, some that I know personally & it reminded me that none of us are alone when it comes to dealing with challenges. This was from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) where they shared this quote: “Life will never wait for you to be okay. Get up, carry your burden and keep going.” Another thing that got me thinking about this was (and I think about this often), the struggles that my ancestors had to go through in order for me to be here. It’s inspiring really when I take it all in - how can it not be. It’s the only choice for me - to keep battling and trying to do my best. Hope you find peace with this too. Thanks for listening. • Learn About People - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 1-31-25 #1471
    2025/01/31

Found a great list we all can connect to from Seek Wiser (@SeekWiser_) where it’s all about being able to “learn a lot about people from what they lack.” These things are so true about not only what we can learn from others, but also what we can try and learn about ourselves. These areas are so valuable: accountability, communication skills, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, honesty, having boundaries, and integrity. So much to pick up on when we have our eyes and ears open a bit - again, especially when looking in the mirror. Thanks for listening. • Take Care Of The Root - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thur. 1-30-25 #1470
    2025/01/30

Found another deep reflective post, this one from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) where they shared this thought and it’s not just advice for trees. “Heal the root so the tree is stable.” We are the tree and we need to take care of our foundation so that our branches (and even any “fruit” we produce) which are the things we do and the people we connect with, can be their very best, all throughout our lives! Another positive reminder for me to keep working on things I know I need to do. Thanks for listening. • Show This Strength - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 1-29-25 #1469
    2025/01/29

I found a reminder that probably needs to get out there a bit more, for a few different reasons. This comes from Mind Essentials (@Mind_Essentials) reminds us that “Strong people don’t put others down … They lift them up.” Sad to say there are way too many examples all around us of people, many so called “leaders” that do the total opposite of this and think they are successful. It’s up to us to set the correct example in living our lives on a daily basis for sure. One key about this is how we treat ourselves too. So much for me to work on as usual and I’m glad to try and keep getting better. Thanks for listening. • Carve Out Some Time - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 1-28-25 #1468
    2025/01/28

Another reminder post from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) where he shares this: “A message for today … Simplify your life! It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of life, but taking time for self-care really makes a difference. Carving out time for self-care helps recharge our mental & physical energy.” The post is all about this quote from Quotes Cafe - “Go offline, focus on yourself, treat yourself, exercise, go into nature, watch the birds in the sky, drink water, pray, laugh until you cry, cry until you laugh again, dress how you want, and set your boundaries. Be free.” So many outstanding reminders here for me to focus on, especially the going offline part a bit more. Yep, I need that. I think so many of us do. So many things we can do to better ourselves. Connecting to the previous episode, these are habits I need to do more of for sure as a part of my own system of living. How about you? • Goals vs. Systems - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 1-27-25 #1467
    2025/01/27

Found another great post from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi), where this was shared: “Goals are for people who care about winning once. Systems are for people who care about winning repeatedly.” - James Clear is the one who shared that gem of a thought. The system we all need to create (and we do it whether we know it or not), is with our habits. The things we do every day in our lives. The choices we make, make us! Having one goal here or there is not a bad thing. But to really change things in our lives, it’s the system we create for ourselves - that’s the key for sure!! I know I need to keep focusing on creating my best system for my life and you can do the same for your life. Thanks for listening.
