Do you ever pause to consider Peter's warning that "your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Peter 5:8)? Many move through life unaware of the spiritual battle raging around them. God hasn't left us defenseless - He's equipped us with His armor of truth, faith, and His Word. What would change if you began each day intentionally putting on God's armor? Are you ready to stand firm, knowing you're not fighting for victory but FROM it - because Christ has already won?

Do you behave as if God is in charge or as if you are? When the world is unjust and unkind, do you often turn to God or try to handle it yourself? In 1 Peter 5:5-7, God tells us to humble ourselves and throw our worries to Him. God is strong enough, God cares about you, and His timing is always perfect.

How will you handle suffering? That’s the real question. Peter’s words remind you that following Jesus doesn’t mean escaping hardship. It means embracing it with a purpose. Jesus walked the road of suffering, and through it, God met people. Now, you are called to walk in His steps—not to avoid suffering, but to do good even when it brings pain. When trials come, will you choose to suffer well? Your response becomes an opportunity to show the world who Jesus is. How will you let God shape you through it?

Your whole life becomes a spiritual offering, showing others the goodness of God. As you step into this high calling, will you choose to walk as one who is seen and sent by God? What’s harder than facing a challenge? Facing it alone. In 1 Peter, Peter’s audience knew persecution and exclusion, causing them to doubt their faith. But he reminds them that following Jesus is not meant to be a solo journey. Together, you are a living stone, chosen and valued by God, being built into something much greater than you can imagine. How will you lean into the community around you, offering what God has placed inside you?

How have you been conformed to culture? Followers of Jesus are called to holiness, which sets them apart from the culture of the world. 1 Peter 1:13-16 teaches that when your hope is in Jesus, your behavior changes to look more like God and less like the world. Consider how you can prepare your mind, exercise self-control, hope in Jesus, and live obediently to reflect God's holiness instead of conforming to the world.

Have you ever lived in a place that didn't feel like home?
