  • Providing Constructive Feedback
    2025/04/09

    Hey Everyone!

I'm back! I know I've been a lot less active recently. Life has been a bit overwhelming. I had a crazy week at work with coworkers out on vacation and a new hire to train and my schedule being adapted to fit those needs. It's been a lot for my brain and body to keep up with. I need a day to just relax and do nothing and have some peace and quiet. But anyways, today I wanted to talk about how to provide constructive feedback in a way that will be effective and well received. It takes understanding who you're speaking with as a whole and where they're at in the moment. It can be a challenge at first but it's important for setting them up for success throughout the coaching process and life in general. Thank you so much for being here. If you'd like to reach out I'm @kakelind on instagram, kaitlinspodcast@gmail.com, or leave a comment. I will do my best to respond as I have time! And always remember, You Are Enough! Happy Autism Awareness Month Everyone! We deserve to be supported and loved and I'm here to do my part in making that known. Much love, Kaitlin.

  • Conflict Resolution
    2025/03/28

    Hey Everyone!

Thanks for coming back! I'm trying to record at least once a week, still recovering from the last couple of weeks. I needed to do something fun but now I'm so tired. Sometimes I wish there was a compromise that fulfilled my need for new things that didn't totally drain my energy. I haven't found it though so I will just try to be careful with how much I do and allow my self plenty of time to recover. Today we're talking about conflict resolution which is a topic I have a lot of personal experience on. As a quiet, very logical person, I have found myself in the middle of a lot of situations where I have acted as a mediator. In my family, school/extra curriculars, and work. I hope this is educational and let me know if you also found/find yourself mediating, I'd love to know if neurodivergence plays a role in this. I hope you have a great day and week. And remember, YOU ARE ENOUGH!

    My bad everyone!

I totally forgot to publish this episode last week! I am trying to record at least once a week, I've been busy and exhausted. This episode is basically a recap on what I've been doing. I was bored a month ago and now I'm ready to be boring again. Apparently my body can only handle a few out of the ordinary events and I need a long time to recover. But it was really good to spend some time with friends and do things out of my routine. My adhd side was demanding it, I was getting really antsy. Now that has been fulfilled for the time being. Thank you for being here and spending time with me, I really appreciate it. And thank you to everyone who has reached out. My apologies to those I haven't responded to, I will soon! I hope you have a great friday and weekend. And remember, YOU ARE ENOUGH!

  • Effective Listening Techniques
    2025/03/06

    Hey Everyone,

Today is a little bit of a shorter episode, time keeps getting away from me in the morning/traffic sucks. Today's topic is one that does not always come naturally especially to us Audhd, ASD, or ADHD folks. But it's helpful to learn what is important in active listening, how to help store memories, and to understand varying communication styles. I also think neurotypicals should be more understanding of neurodivergent communication styles. I hope we can all be a little less quick to judge someone based off of subtle social cues. Thanks for spending time with me today an I hope you have a great rest of the day. If you want to contact me, I'm @kakelind on instagram, kaitlinspodcast@gmail.com, or leave a comment. And always remember, you are enough!

  • Understanding Neurodiversity
    2025/03/04

    Hey Everyone,

I've been in a bit of a funk lately. Not been super motivated to record but I still am enjoying the topic and class. I guess the hyperfixation has faded a bit but it's still a special interest of mine. But I really just want to be real with you and show how life is like for me. No sugar coating or fake enthusiasm. I couldn't really even if I wanted too. Neurodiversity is complex and nuanced. It effects everything thing and yet it's often easy to hide or miss if you don't understand neurodiversity well. I hope you're enjoying these topics. I appreciate each person who decides to take time out of your day to spend time with me. I hope you have a great rest of your day. And that you remember that You Are Enough!

    Hey Everyone,

It's the end of the long tired week for me. I apologize for the lack of episodes and lack of enthusiasm. Just keeping it real though, I do my best not to mask on here. It's a scary time for any type of diversity initiatives but having good documentation of it's effectiveness and success is crucial to the survival of these practices in business and government. Thank you for listening to me and spending time with me today. If you'd like to contact me, I'm @kakelind on instagram, kaitlinspodcast@gmail.com , or leave a comment! I hope you know how much you are cared for and that You Are Enough!

  • Big Life Changes
    2025/02/26

    Hey Everyone,

Talking about some life decisions I'm trying to make. Change is really hard for me, no wonder....ASD and all. But it can be hard on others in my life when I can't make a decision or take forever to think through things. I'm trying to not put pressure on myself and get upset at the way my brain works. I need to work with my brain not against it. I just hope that my loved ones will understand and that I can settle into the new changes as I get over my fears. I get overwhelmed and it causes a lot of anxiety for me. Trying to be optimistic and realistic. Working on letting go of the pessimistic part of me, the self doubt, and the self sabotaging. Trying not to think of all the things that could go wrong too. Thanks for listening to my rambles and struggles. It really helps me to get it out and to know I'm not alone. If you'd like to share anything with me, I'm @kakelind on instagram, kaitlinspodcast@gmail.com, or leave me a comment!
