Franchise Preparation あらすじ・解説

A family of commoners builds, morphs, and strengthens its character in the Ridgelands saga, moving toward its destiny amid hostile and degrading societies. What background do new family members bring with them, and how will they affect the family’s future?

The first building block of this family appears in Franchise as two city-states commit to a mutual iron-making venture. The cities claim moral high ground, fighting slavers and licentious elements, but display their own corruption.

Belak assembles the technical venture team in Franchise Preparation, exposing political and spiritual undercurrents in Laboot City, establishing relationships, and surviving an initial external attack. Belak and his sister, Louise, share an amusing struggle adapting to new roles.
