"Le Chat botté" : Il était une fois, voici bien longtemps, un pauvre meunier qui avait trois fils. Les deux ainés étaient très paresseux, mais le plus jeune travaillait dur. A sa mort, le meunier ne laissa à ses enfants que son moulin, son âne et son chat. Le plus vieux reçut le moulin ; le second, l'âne ; et le troisième n'hérita que d'un chat... botté !

"Cendrillon" : "La bonté est présentée comme transcendant la beauté." Un gentilhomme peiné par le deuil de sa première épouse se remarie à la plus vile des femmes. Cendrillon, sa première fille, est maltraitée par cette belle-mère dominatrice et par ses deux demi-sœurs.

"Le petit Chaperon rouge" : "Il ne faut pas se fier aveuglément aux flatteurs." Le petit Chaperon rouge, ainsi nommé à cause de son capuchon rouge, va porter à sa grand-mère un petit pot de beurre et une galette.
