One of Britain's most prolific authors, Horowitz is known for his children’s fiction, such as the Alex Rider series, his mystery novels including Magpie Murders, as well as being a screenwriter and creator of series such as Midsomer Murders and BAFTA winning Foyle's War. We’ll be chatting with Anthony Horowitz about Close to Death, the fifth installment in his Hawthorne and Horowitz detective series. We will be asking how Horowitz how he decides when he’s got a good idea, what the move from children’s to adult’s fiction was like, and why he chose to write a series with himself as a character.

Theroux began his career in America working on Michael Moore's TV Nation, and from this sprang his Weird Weekends (1998-2000) where Theroux spent time on porn sets, with swingers, body builders and white supremacists, to name but a few. Then came the hugely popular series When Louis Met..., in which Theroux spent time with the likes of Max Clifford, Chris Eubank and Jimmy Savile.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss her 13th installment of the hugely successful Tom Gates series, Epic Adventure (Kind Of), is British publishing sensation Liz Pichon. With her illustrations recognised across the world, Liz Pichon has become a national treasure with her infamous Tom Gates series for children aged 8+. With a Roald Dahl Funny Prize under her belt, alongside numerous other awards, Pichon has become recognised for her signature doodling and comedic realism, selling two million copies of her series in the UK alone.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his narration of Tony Lee’s audio drama Dodge and Twist is British actor Stephen Mangan. Known for his roles as Guy Secretan in Green Wing, Sean Lincoln in Episodes and Dan Moody in I’m Alan Partridge, Stephen Mangan has had a respected career across both stage and screen. The Tony-nominated actor now plays the part of Charles Dickens in the audio drama Dodge and Twist. Joining us at a riverside London hotel is Dame Julie Andrews, DBE, an English actress, singer and author. She has now released her second memoir, Home Work. Born in Surrey in 1935, Andrews parents divorced and she originally lived with her father, then moved back to live with her mother and stepfather. Her stepfather was turbulent, but he sponsored her voice lessons, and from 1945 Andrews began performing with her mother and stepfather unbilled.

Rinder was called to the Bar in 2001, beginning a pupillage at 2 Paper Buildings before moving to 2 Hare Court as a criminal barrister. Rinder has worked on cases from fraud to murder, and money laundering to political corruption. Having approached ITV with a television script, written in his spare time, he was asked instead to be the face of a British Judge Judy-esque show, thus Judge Rinder was born.

Joining us in the studio to talk about his latest book, Rebel Ideas, is British table tennis Olympian, author, journalist and broadcaster Matthew Syed. Known for being the ping-pong guy from popular sports podcast Flintoff, Savage and the Ping Pong Guy, Matthew Syed started his career as a table tennis player, competing in two Olympic games, and was ranked as a top player in England for 10 years. Since then, Matthew moved on to a career in journalism, writing a column in The Times and broadcasting on the BBC and Eurosport.
