A coughing old monk opened the heavy wooden door, creaking on mildewed hinges and entered a musty cloister, his quiet home. Pressed against his nose, his long sleeves of cotton gave him relief from an incessant drip, while the other hand levied a softly glowing candelabra to illuminate the dark. His eyes, concealed behind heavy wrinkles, attempted to peer through the dust-filled air—twinkling specks of dust floated in the space. The enclosed cavern, clearly bereft of any human activity.

The novel is an epic fantasy of another world that by book three becomes sci-fi. It delves into power, balance, and the war between light and darkness. Set in a world where darkness and secrets intertwine, the story follows Tara, a young woman with mysterious powers, on a quest to uncover the truth behind her adoptive father's untimely death. With the help of Antoff, a retired Priest Knight, and the enigmatic Edward of Haven, she ventures into ancient mysteries and confronts hidden dangers in a city shrouded in shadows.
