Dette skete med voldsomme og krænkende metoder, blandt andet ved at give dem elektrisk stød og mod deres vilje udsætte dem for kønsskifteoperationer. TUSKEGEE-EKSPERIMENTET handler om, da det amerikanske sundhedsvæsens afdeling for kønssygdomme i 1930'erne får en idé til et behandlingsprogram for syfilis.
