this is the final episode of the first season of the podcast!! i had a blast recording this season for you and i hope you’ve enjoyed it so far. i need a break to sort out my head, do a bit of soul searching and find my identity in Jesus as i’ve lost myself a bit recently. this episode was super raw and real, i had to take a break because it was quite hard to talk about. i’ve realised i’ve hurt people through what i speak about and i’m truly sorry. i’ve learnt that being a Christian isn’t about having different views, it’s about devoting myself to Jesus and discipleship and i can’t lead someone to Christ if they hate me because of my opinions that i seem to talk about a lot!

i’m ready to be the Christian that people notice as “different” and they want to know why instead of hating me because i’m against their community or what they believe in etc…

i love you all so much and i hate the thought of people being hurt by something i’ve shared so that’s why i’m making a change in my life, the way i present myself and my overall persona.

today’s episode was SO fun to record and i’m super excited for you to hear it!! i’m joined with Emery Howard-Spitzer and Mae White to discuss LGBTQ+, particularly non-binary. this was such an interesting conversation to have as i’m Christian and i have very strong views about this topic but it was so insightful to hear Emery’s story and learn more about what it means to be non-binary.

the whole conversation stayed respectful of each other's views and i definitely learnt a lot but in a way it strengthened some of my views.

i think it's really important to have these conversations to learn about why people believe what they do and understand their outlook instead of disregarding it because we don't agree or don't like it.

i really hope you enjoy the episode and i hope you can respect all of our views and see both sides of the discussion.

as you may know, i'm strongly pro-life and have had MANY conversations with people about this topic. i've been fortunate to have debates with people who genuinely want to understand my view and want to put theirs forward, but also others that haven't been nice. but it's a topic that needs to be addressed and discussed and that's exactly what this episode is about.

Mae White is strongly pro-choice and feminist. she's passionate about her views and people's rights and that's one of the reasons she's pro-abortion. having this debate with her was so fascinating because most people i talk to just know they're pro-choice because they think women should have the right to abortion, but Mae knows what she's talking about and where she stands with her views which made talking to her about this topic, even more interesting.

when i come into a season where i'm struggling with something, i tend to run to the world to fill the craving that God gave us for Him. it never works and i end up running back to Jesus when what i was trying to find in the world fails. i dive into this topic and Psalms 63 and also talk about how so many people say "how do i find the motivation to read my Bible, pray etc..." when we shouldn't be trying to find motivation, it's about realising that God deserves every second we have, He deserves our praise + worship! as soon as that change in mindset happens, spending time with God becomes a whole new thing and it becomes about Him which it was always about!!

i just pressed record and let the Lord speak, He gave me a message to speak on with this episode and i can't express how amazing it was just to let the Lord speak through me and know it was a message straight from Him!!

i’ve had so many people ask me why i’m going against my true self and why i’m not being myself etc and i wanted to talk on this cause it's not just an easy yes or no question/topic so i wanted to properly talk about it and look at God's design for us, our calling and why we're called to put our identity in Jesus.

God literally spoke to me through my dogs which was incredible!! i genuinely think God made dogs for a reason and they have something to do with the Holy Spirit (just a thought...)

i had a moment where i just needed to laugh so i went off topic a bit and this episode is so all over the place but i love how my joy for the Lord really shone through me and what i was saying! ahh God is SO good and i love how He spoke through me in this episode and i pray the Lord would speak to you through what i said.

being a Christian in today's culture is hard and what comes with that is not knowing how to live out your faith in this very secular world. we can believe in God but not know what to do with that information and feel lost in the "different ways of living as a Christian." i felt like this and then heard something amazing from God that made it all so clear. listening for God's voice is so important and something we should do so much more often because prayer is a duologue, not a monologue and God wants to speak to us but we're sometimes so caught up in our busy lives that we pray for what we "want" and then move on with our lives and forget to let God speak.

we can get so caught up in this secular world that we lose sight of our calling or the path God has for us. we have to keep God at the top and keep reminding ourselves that God is eternal and is the truth. no matter what everyone else's "truths" are, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life so no matter what anyone else says, that will never change.

all of us will feel far from God at some point in our walk with Jesus. it's awful and something i struggle with a lot! this episode is super encouraging and goes through why we feel this way and how we can accept that we need God and we can't do it on our own. we don't need to clean ourselves up for God, instead, we have to run to Him when we're broken and allow Him to heal us!! the enemy will keep telling us that we don't need God, we need ourselves. this is so twisted and all the enemy wants is to drag us down to hell with him, so he'll do anything to accomplish this. that means, tearing us apart, making us feel awful about ourselves and making us mad at God when the one we should be mad at, is satan! 

i'm here for you and i know feeling far from God is the worst. i want you to know you're not the only one and God HASN'T abandoned you, He's right there waiting for your return.
