  • 3. Martial Arts Master and Christian Ministry
    2022/11/12

Martial arts instructor Jose Ramirez tells his story of mixing God and martial arts to create leaders that will change their communities.

"I really think that people don't really care how you feel. So I am trying to create that environment and say, hey, listen, we're Christian. This is what we do. But I am training you for life and to be a leader."

    This is Jose Ramirez's story...

I was introduced to martial arts at a young age by my best friend. My instructor didn't know it at the time, but he saved my life. I was a suicidal teenager struggling with ADHD. Martial arts gave me the confidence and discipline I needed to turn my life around. I joined the navy and had the opportunity to learn different styles of martial arts and meet different grandmasters. I eventually returned to my roots and started my own Christian martial arts school. My goal is to save lives and create leaders in my community. I believe that martial arts is a tool that God created for a reason. It has the ability to touch people's hearts and souls in a way that nothing else can. I strive to be a leader in the martial arts community and to teach others

In this episode, you will learn the following:

    1. How does Jose Ramirez feel that martial arts brings him closer to God, to Christ?

    2. What is it about martial arts that makes it such a spiritual practice?

    3. How does Jose Ramirez share his faith with others through his martial arts teaching?
