It's been a bit of a roller-coaster ride for fans of the Wests Tigers in recent weeks and this latest edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast represents that.

As the heat of Summer starts to hit, the Wests Tigers continue to be in the headlines, and this time around it's all about the contracts of some of the club's most valuable players.

How these details came to be in the media remains a whole other thing!

Joel is joined by Steve, Nick, and Garry to look at a rumour that broke last night - Lachlan Galvin having apparently re-signed a new deal with the club (still yet to be anything other than a rumour).

But then there is a look at the revelation Jarome Luai could start to negotiate with other clubs in just 11 months!

The four-time Premiership winner is coming to the Tigers on a five-year deal, but with player options for the final three years of that contract, and that news has hit a lot of us for six!

Should the club have disclosed these terms when he signed? Does it make him any less committed to the cause? And how will the media target this when/if things get tough next year and beyond? We discuss all that.

There are similar terms and conditions built into Jahream Bula's contract too (also leaked to the media by unknown sources last week), we put this situation under the microscope too.

On a brighter note, we talk about the signing of the club's biggest-ever sponsorship with a new major sponsor, Pepper Money.

We take a close look at the encouraging comments made by our new recruit Terrell May on the James Graham podcast, have another quick look at back row options for 2025 and this brings up some Brandon Smith discussion too.

We hope you enjoy this big off-season edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast and welcome your feedback via the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

With 2025 just around the corner the Wests Tigers Podcast wakes up from it's offseason hibernation to discuss all the news coming out of Concord, well some of the team does. Garry is joined by Declan and Nick to chat about what has been an eventful past few weeks.

The boys give their one words for the offseason so far, Declan and Nick then get a chance to give their thoughts on the latest big-name recruit with Terrell May recently joining the club.

The conversation then turns to the re-signing of key forward Fonua Pole, speculation was that he was on his way out of the club and headed to the Storm. The team discuss what he will add to the squad over the coming seasons.

The guys then look at the squad leading into 2025 and compare the team to what we had in 2024, has there been improvements in the forwards and backs in the last 12 months?

Next up is a game of Buy Sell or hold with a range of topics discussed.

To finish out the pod is a discussion centred on the Pepper Money signing up as the new major sponsor for the club and the release of the new season 25 jersey.

The NRL off-season continues, but a big step has been taken this week in the return of the Wests Tigers for 2025.

Pre-season training has officially commenced and our star recruit has declared himself a Wests Tiger!

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel is joined by Garry and Nick to discuss the latest from Wests Tigers HQ at Concord.

Some of the topics up for discussion include the video message to Wests Tigers fans and members recorded by Jarome Luai in the UK. We talk about the four-time Premiership winner's entrance into the club and what it means to the club, team, and fans.

There has also been progress in appointing new independent board members to the Wests Tigers board. That important development is also put under the microscope on this edition of the pod.

The boys also discuss the latest on Wests Tigers player recruitment, in particular:

    • The future of Jayden Sullivan at the Tigers
    • The chances of landing discarded Rooster Terrell May
    • The seemingly good chance that Kobe Hetherington will soon be a Tiger
    • How do we fit Sione Fainu into a roster lacking free spaces

Then the discussion turns to the 20205 NRL draw, and in particular the best and worst case scenarios for our round one opponent.

And there is a quick round of Buy, Sell, or Hold with topics ranging from round one centres to Brent Naden and winning streaks.

We hope you enjoy this latest edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast and don't forget to join the discussion today on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

The boys are back with Eddie, Nick, Declan, and Steve giving one thing they like about the off-season, as well as one Tigers-related rant.

We dive into a deep discussion on the history of underperforming senior players against the culture and training standards at the club and who is more to blame.

We look at John Bateman's contract situation and whether more shaking of the tree needs to be done at Concord.

Eddie asks the boys what is one roster decision that is most important if they were in control over the next couple of months.

Eddie also states his case as to why the Wests Tigers need to sign Clint Gutherson as our fullback for the next two seasons.

Plus another edition of Buy, Sell, and Hold including whether it's time to drop the burden of captaincy on Api Koroisau, and whether Jack Bird can be our answer next season at lock.

It's a jam-packed edition with all that and more in over an hour's worth of debate in episode 364 of the Wests Tigers Podcast.

We are now in the depths of the offseason and with the Wests Tigers Podcast regulars taking a break Garry is joined by Kelly, Jordan and Rachel to discuss all the latest from the Wests Tigers.

The show starts with a game of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, focusing on season 2024 and the team discusses their highlights and lowlights from another disappointing season.

There is then talk around last Friday’s Awards Gala held at the ICC Sydney, everyone gives their opinions on surprise Kelly Barnes winner Sam Fainu and the other award winners from the night.

The discussion then turns to season 2025 and what player’s need to be let go and what positions need targeting for season 25. The team also discusses who they would take in 2 weeks when players for 2026 become available for negotiation.

The crew then takes a deep dive into the club’s new recruits for 2025, each member of the Pod gives their opinion on which player they are most excited to see join the club.

To end the pod the guys give their expectations for the upcoming season, will anyone agree with Steve’s top 8 or bust hardline expectation?

The off-season is well and truly upon us with the Wests Tigers players putting their feet for their October holidays.

But pre-season training starts in under a month and we now have the 2025 Wests Tigers coaching team sorted.

Club legend Brett Hodgson returns to the fold to work alongside John Morris and Chris Heighington as Benji Marshall's assistants.

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast we discuss the appointment of Hodgo, asking the question - was this just once again a case of "jobs for the boys?"?

Beyond that coaching discussion we also wrap up the results of our 2024-25 Wests Tigers Fan Survey where will bring you the results from an array of questions, including:

    • Which is your favourite Wests Tigers home ground?
    • The NRL needs to rethink the use of the Bunker?
    • The NSW Cup side should be rebranded as Wests Tigers?
    • Which 2025 Wests Tigers recruit are you most excited about?

And things get a little spicy on the pod when Steve and Garry debate the question put to our fellow Wests Tigers fans - Will Wests Tigers finish in the Top 8 in 2025?

Hopefully the next edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast contains debate about some confirmed player movement, both into and out of the club, with fingers crossed next week's Player of the Year dinner will bring some news.

Until then, thanks for listening and don't forget to join us for plenty of lively and respectful Wests Tigers discussion on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

The Wests Tigers Podcast is back with the latest off-season edition of the pod.

And, with very little Wests Tigers news to discuss in recent times, we decided to make our own - launching the 2024-25 Wests Tigers Fan Survey.

This edition is all about that survey, and because we have so much data to share, we've had to split the results into two podcast editions.

There will be another edition of the podcast next week where we wrap up the survey results.

Some of the questions and results that we look at on this show include:

    • Are you planning on being a Wests Tigers Member in 2025?
    • The Wests Tigers are heading in the right direction?
    • CEO Shane Richardson is a doing a good job at our club?
    • Holman Barnes Group should sell their stake in Wests Tigers?
    • Have you considered NOT being a Wests Tigers fan in recent years?
    • John Bateman should be paid out/released by Wests Tigers ASAP?

We really appreciate all the survey responses that you guys provided to us and it's a very interesting exercise looking at your opinions around our club.
