World-renowned child-welfare advocate Derrick Wilburn, an elected education leader, is the driving force behind the POC (People of Color) Capitol Interns program. He is a former faculty adjunct in the school of business at the University of Phoenix-San Jose. Wilburn wrote three published books, and has been published in the American Thinker, Daily Caller, Townhall, CNS News, and more. Derrick holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of San Francisco. He resides in Colorado.
