Welcome back to Watered by God Podcast!! We are back better than ever and starting season 2 off with understanding how the Lord is our Shepherd and he gives us everything we need. Only He can do such a thing. In this episode, we will be studying Psalms 23: 1-3. We will be studying Psalms 23 as a series for the next few episodes, also. He can allow you to not want for money, food, fame, fortune, worldly joy, etc. The scripture also says He makes us lay in green pastures. We may not want to, but we have to emphasize the word make because He wants us to rest in the things of Him. We always tend to look at love as an emotion. We think of it as we either feel it or we don't. Many people end relationships based off of "I don't love them anymore" or they view friendships as "I just don't see them as the same person anymore". Jesus commands us to love. It was never based off if you felt like doing anything. He would not command for us to love if it was a feeling. He commands it because we are to act out of love, not love based off others' actions. Actions expose what is in your heart, nevertheless, if you are acting out of that, your heart posture needs to be cleansed by God. We learn the correct way to love and what love is in 1 Corinthians 13:1-8. Love is not the expectations of social media standards or generational views or flowers and gifts or tv fairytales. In the Book of Matthew, we learn a lot about Jesus and different lessons that are to be learned. Specifically in chapter 22, verses 37-40, we see Jesus telling the pharisee that the most important command is to love God with your whole heart, soul, and mind. Many do not know where to start when it comes to their relationships with God, but this is simply it. When you love God with all that is within you, everything else will follow after because you will live to please Him and not to upset or hurt Him. In this episode, we discuss how our relationship with God can be compared to our relationship with humans. As a matter of fact, part of our purpose in life is to display that love of God to others so that they may also experience God. How can we love others correctly though if we do not know the source of love? It will not work. God is love. How can you love the unbeliever if you do not know how to love the believer correctly? The unbeliever is waiting to believe from the love of the believer, not the hypocrisy and criticism. Fasten your seatbelt and tune in while we sow and grow into the things of God.
