Boy, is SHE inspiring!

Our new friend Angelina Paul came into the studio to tell us about some amazing projects she's been pouring her heart into, and she's launching a podcast series, 'Through the Fire', and in her words:

"I look forward to the chance to amplify the voices of women in the Okanagan. My podcast Through the Fire with Angelina Paul is launching this February 22, 2025 and the first year is dedicated to the special initiative 50 Women, 50 Stories, 50 Voices.

This initiative is focused on showcasing the authentic and inspiring stories of resilience, growth, and community-building from the remarkable women in our region.

The stories shared will highlight women overcoming trauma, building businesses, raising families, embracing second chances, and so much more. Through these voices, we hope to build stronger connections in the Okanagan, foster greater compassion, and identify areas where our community needs additional support. Ultimately, the initiative will lay the foundation for a nonprofit aimed at addressing these gaps and making a lasting impact."

Once again, thank you to Sir Michael Williams, who is basically royalty when it comes to being a tv & radio personality, and he's experienced more in his life already than most of us will ever get close to...

For Bell Let’s Talk day on Virgin Mornings w/ B Mack & Karly

We spoke to Ginny Becker from the Child Advocacy Centre in Kelowna about the process of how a child comes to them, and what is involved. We also talked about what the previous funds donated by Bell Let’s Talk have gone towards, in previous years. This audio clip got posted to OMNY and sent to our social media, as well as playing it on air 3 times over the course of our Morning Show.

We spoke on the importance of sleep and taking care of yourself, which helps your mental health and well-being, tying it in to the SLEEP COUNTRY giveaway we’re doing all day today.

We discussed and posted the local contact info for all the different resources available for all ages, genders, sexual orientations and races, on our local website, and posted it online to our social medias.

We talked a bit about personal struggles and how in many industries, people have to just put on a smile and fake it, and how that can become part of a downward spiral. We talked about how heavy of a day this is, and how we find ourselves faking happiness, and pretending that everything is okay, when it’s NOT.
