Che Correa is one of my absolute favorite creatives of our time and it was such a pleasure to get to sit down with her one on one and shoot the shit about all things photography, art, creative process, lighting, and of course, what it means to be a witch.
Our journeys into photography began at pretty much the same time and through a beautiful twist of fate, we've evolved with very similar inspirations, processes, and skillsets, while maintaining our delightful and unique differences. If you're just starting out on the path of photography or content creation, this episode has some great information on how to begin, and if you happen to be in the Fox Valley area, Che is an incredible local resource. Plus, an amazing performance artist. If you're lucky, you may even catch her fire dancing in person!
For everyone else, go check out her TikTok or Instagram accounts for a myriad of delightfully witty, sometimes dark, and always inspiring content. @calypso_firewitch
We also touch in on Trauma in this episode, and I think it's really important to note how it can have a ripple effect on us as humans and especially as powerful creators. It often leads us to forget that we're interconnected and that we do have resources, but that we lose them when we're in a closed loop. Entropy happens when we disconnect. When we plug back into our communities and creative natures (whether online or in person), health and wellness return.
Thanks again, Che for an excellent evening, and I look forward to collaborating on something beautiful (and hopefully outdoors) again soon!

First and foremost, Billy Corgan, I hope you don't mind that I used A Stitch In Time for our period of refreshment. Che and I are both big Smashing Pumpkins fans, and it felt like the right fit to honor our conversation and my coming out of the broom closet, so to speak. ;) Thanks for all of your creativity, and tell James, Jimmy, D'Arcy, and the whole rest of the evolution of the crew that I respect and honor them deeply for the way they groove.

Oh, and just to clarify the trespassing bit - I did that in rural areas where I knew all of my neighbors. It was never out of malicious intent and was much more in the spirit of the tradition of the National Trails in England, or even, here locally, it could be compared to the Geneva Lake path. Just passing through, enjoying the fresh air. Borderless.
