  • Derby joy MUST fuel Dundee safety push
    2025/03/20

With no fixture this weekend thanks to the latest international break, Dundee are entitled to keep basking in the glory of the derby hiding they dished out to United at Tannadice.

But as the Dark Blues begin their preparations to face Rangers in just over a week, it’s vital that they find a way to replicate the devastating attacking display that destroyed the Tangerines.

Lyall Cameron will face his future employers when he takes the field against the Gers, while Simon Murray – booked for his controversial goal celebration against United – will need to keep his nose clean to avoid a damaging suspension.

The stakes could scarcely be higher for the Dee. How they handle the pressure is likely to define their season.

As Dundee bask, United will look for a way to ensure their first half capitulation against their rivals stays a one-off.

Jim Goodwin believes his side are still “in the driving seat” to secure a top six spot, but their lead over Hearts, Motherwell and St Mirren is shrinking.

Do United need to get back to basics? How beneficial will time on international duty prove for the nine Tangerines who have joined up with their countries?

Host Sean Hamilton is joined by Alan Temple and Graeme Finnan to discuss all of these questions – and more.

There’s also the result of our competition to win a £100 Spar voucher and a crate of Lionel Messi’s new drink mas+ – stick around until the end of the show to find out which lucky listener/viewer has won.

Twa Teams, One Street is proud to be supported by SPAR Scotland.

  • Dundee delight as dismal United put to sword at Tannadice
    2025/03/17

The Dark Blue side of the street is celebrating this morning after Dundee deservedly swept Dundee United aside 4-2 at Tannadice on Sunday. Jordan McGhee bagged a brace, Scott Tiffoney struck and Simon “Adebayor” Murray made the game safe in stoppage time, rendering efforts from Glenn Middleton and Kristijan Trapanovski moot. We analyse an all-action display by the Dee and spotlight some of the heroes of a fine performance, while asking whether this can kickstart their rise out of the bottom two. After a first home defeat against Dundee in more than 20 years, United are left licking their wounds and reflecting on a woeful opening 45 minutes. What went wrong? We discuss shape, effort, errors and whether key men were playing with injuries. With their top six hopes now in serious jeopardy, United must find a response in Dingwall – but have a major defensive headache following Emmanuel Adegboyega’s red card. Host Tam Duthie is joined by Alan Temple, George Cran and Graeme Finnan. There’s also a competition to win a £100 Spar voucher and a crate of Lionel Messi’s new drink mas+ – head to YouTube to leave the answer to our big question in the comments - youtube.com/@TheCourierUK/videos Twa Teams, One Street is proud to be supported by SPAR Scotland.
