The English language is how we communicate our thoughts and tell stories that are passed down from generation to generation. That is why we sat down with Dr. Chris Hair, English professor at Williams Baptist University to dig deep into the English Department. Dr. Hair believes that literature isn’t just a subject studied, it’s a force that moves us. He discusses that his main goal is to provide a curriculum that enables students to see the true power of our amazing language. One of the ways he accomplishes this is by continuously reviewing and revising the curriculum to both the benefit of students and professors. You will also hear his thoughts on movies, creative writing, and the impact of storytelling. We also discuss great writers such as C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien and how they are not just great because of what they wrote, but why they wrote it.
