  • 10 Jan 25 – What May Really Have Caused the CA Fires
    2025/01/10
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Luke 5:12-16 - It happened that there was a man full of leprosy in one of the towns where Jesus was; and when he saw Jesus, he fell prostrate, pleaded with Him, and said, “Lord, if You wish, You can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out His Hand, touched him, and said, “I do will it. Be made clean.” And the leprosy left him immediately. Then He ordered him not to tell anyone, but “Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.” The report about Him spread all the more, and great crowds assembled to listen to Him and to be cured of their ailments, but He would withdraw to deserted places to pray. • 09 Jan 25 – Are the California Fires a Consequence of Sin?
    2025/01/10
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Luke 4:14-22 - Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news of Him spread throughout the whole region. He taught in their synagogues and was praised by all. He came to Nazareth, where He had grown up, and went according to His custom into the synagogue on the sabbath day. He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord. Rolling up the scroll, He handed it back to the attendant and sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue looked intently at Him. He said to them, “Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing.” And all spoke highly of Him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from His Mouth. • 08 Jan 24 – Russia’s Supreme Court Bans LGBT Movement as Extremist
    2025/01/08
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mark 6:45-52 - After the five thousand had eaten and were satisfied, Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and precede Him to the other side toward Bethsaida, while He dismissed the crowd. And when He had taken leave of them, He went off to the mountain to pray. When it was evening, the boat was far out on the sea and He was alone on shore. Then He saw that they were tossed about while rowing, for the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night, He came toward them walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them. But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out. They had all seen Him and were terrified. But at once He spoke with them, “Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid!” He got into the boat with them and the wind died down. They were completely astounded. They had not understood the incident of the loaves. On the contrary, their hearts were hardened. • 07 Jan 24 – Whistleblower: Vatican Gripped by Homosexual and Left Wing Cliques
    2025/01/07
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mark 6:34-44 - When Jesus saw the vast crowd, His Heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things. By now it was already late and his disciples approached Him and said, "This is a deserted place and it is already very late. Dismiss them so that they can go to the surrounding farms and villages and buy themselves something to eat." He said to them in reply, "Give them some food yourselves." But they said to Him, "Are we to buy two hundred days' wages worth of food and give it to them to eat?" He asked them, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." And when they had found out they said, "Five loaves and two fish." So He gave orders to have them sit down in groups on the green grass. The people took their places in rows by hundreds and by fifties. Then, taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before the people; he also divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up twelve wicker baskets full of fragments and what was left of the fish. Those who ate of the loaves were five thousand men. • 06 Jan 25 – What Brings People to the Catholic Church?
    2025/01/06
Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel - Mk 5:1-20 - Jesus and His disciples came to the other side of the sea, to the territory of the Gerasenes. When He got out of the boat, at once a man from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met Him. The man had been dwelling among the tombs, and no one could restrain him any longer, even with a chain. In fact, he had frequently been bound with shackles and chains, but the chains had been pulled apart by him and the shackles smashed, and no one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and on the hillsides he was always crying out and bruising himself with stones. Catching sight of Jesus from a distance, he ran up and prostrated himself before Him, crying out in a loud voice, "What have You to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me!" (He had been saying to him, "Unclean spirit, come out of the man!") He asked him, "What is your name?" He replied, "Legion is my name. There are many of us." And he pleaded earnestly with Him not to drive them away from that territory. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there on the hillside. And they pleaded with Him, "Send us into the swine. Let us enter them." And He let them, and the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand rushed down a steep bank into the sea, where they were drowned. The swineherds ran away and reported the incident in the town and throughout the countryside. And people came out to see what had happened. As they approached Jesus, they caught sight of the man who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there clothed and in his right mind. And they were seized with fear. Those who witnessed the incident explained to them what had happened to the possessed man and to the swine. Then they began to beg Him to leave their district. As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed pleaded to remain with Him. But Jesus would not permit him but told him instead, "Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you." Then the man went off and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him; and all were amazed. Bishop Sheen quote of the day Father Charles Murr joins Terry to discuss the truths that bring people into the Church and how to remain in the Church despite the scandals within the Church today

  • 03 Jan 25 – The Liturgical Rosary
    2025/01/03
The Liturgical Rosary WE ARE NOT CHANGING ANY MEDITATIONS OF THE ROSARY. Jesse Romero interviews Author Sister Mary Gabrielle about her new book, The Liturgical Rosary. One thing we find in the Church is not having the need to choose between one or another. The most common examples are: Scripture and Tradition. If asked which was more important, Catholics may have a hard time justifying one or the other. This is why the Church’s answer is Both! We don’t have to choose “either/or” but rather “both/and”. So in today’s episode of the Terry and Jesse Show, we ask which would you rather pray, the Rosary or the Mass? But why not coincide the Mysteries of the Rosary with the Liturgical Calendar of the Mass? It makes so much sense for devout Catholics to synchronize these two aspects of the faith and conform their lives more perfectly to Christ. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 1:29-34 - John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world. He is the one of Whom I said, 'A Man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because He existed before me.' I did not know Him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that He might be made known to Israel." John testified further, saying, "I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from the sky and remain upon Him. I did not know Him, but the One Who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'On Whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, He is the One Who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' Now I have seen and testified that He is the Son of God." Memorial of the Most Holy Name of Jesus O Jesus, have mercy upon us! 2, 3) Sister Mary Gabrielle on the beautiful book the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters have written: The Liturgical Rosary. • 02 Jan 25 – The Evil of Liberal Catholicism, Pt. 2
    2025/01/02
The Evil of Liberal Catholicism, Pt. 2 The buzz in the Catholic world is still Bishop Strickland’s latest letter from Substack regarding the Saint Joseph Staircase. Ordinary methods are repairing a Miraculous Staircase built by Saint Joseph. These methods can't help but tarnish the overall masterpiece of the staircase. That metaphor is carried throughout the entire church where sacredness is under attack. Terry Barber and Jesse Romero break down how The Liturgy, specifically, is wounded in the battle for popularity as its attack stems from its source of Sacredness. The particular sacredness that comes in the Latin Mass has been admonished and in some places exiled for a more modern version of the Mass. How do Catholics deal with this and how should we react? Barber and Romero will take listeners through a guided Catholic response. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 1:19-28 - This is the testimony of John. When the Jews from Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to him to ask him, “Who are you?” he admitted and did not deny it, but admitted, “I am not the Christ.” So they asked him, “What are you then? Are you Elijah?” And he said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.” So they said to him, “Who are you, so we can give an answer to those who sent us? What do you have to say for yourself?” He said: “I am the voice of one crying out in the desert, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.” Some Pharisees were also sent. They asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ or Elijah or the Prophet?” John answered them, “I baptize with water; but there is one among you whom you do not recognize, the one who is coming after me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to untie.” This happened in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptizing. • 01 Jan 25 – Treatise on Perfection
    2025/01/02
Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 4:1-20 - On another occasion, Jesus began to teach by the sea. A very large crowd gathered around Him so that He got into a boat on the sea and sat down. And the whole crowd was beside the sea on land. And He taught them at length in parables, and in the course of His instruction He said to them, "Hear this! A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed fell on rocky ground where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep. And when the sun rose, it was scorched and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it and it produced no grain. And some seed fell on rich soil and produced fruit. It came up and grew and yielded thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold." He added, "Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear." And when He was alone, those present along with the Twelve questioned Him about the parables. He answered them, "The mystery of the Kingdom of God has been granted to you. But to those outside everything comes in parables, so that they may look and see but not perceive, and hear and listen but not understand, in order that they may not be converted and be forgiven." Jesus said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables? The sower sows the word. These are the ones on the path where the word is sown. As soon as they hear, Satan comes at once and takes away the word sown in them. And these are the ones sown on rocky ground who, when they hear the word, receive it at once with joy. But they have no roots; they last only for a time. Then when tribulation or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Those sown among thorns are another sort. They are the people who hear the word, but worldly anxiety, the lure of riches, and the craving for other things intrude and choke the word, and it bears no fruit. But those sown on rich soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit thirty and sixty and a hundredfold."
