あらすじ・解説
The Tale of Jeremy Fisher is a charming children's story about a frog named Jeremy Fisher who lives in a damp house among the buttercups.
One rainy day, he decides to go fishing for minnows to serve at a dinner party with his friends. He sets off in his little boat, but his fishing trip is full of mishaps—he catches nothing but small fish and even pricks his own finger with his fishing hook.
Things take a turn for the worse when a large trout swallows him whole! Luckily, the trout finds Jeremy unappetizing and spits him out, allowing him to escape back to the safety of his home. After his frightening adventure, Jeremy decides to forgo the fish dinner and serves his guests simple roasted grasshoppers instead.
The story is a lighthearted tale about nature, misadventure, and the humorous escapades of a well-dressed frog.
