  • Ep 4: "Women must act like women and men, like men!!!"
    2020/12/13

On episode 4 of TSW, we delve into the world of gender; talking masculinity and femininity pitched as polar opposites and everything in between.

The old age argument that men and women are biologically “different” may be true. But can we argue this as reason for the behaviours we are taught to adopt at birth, based on our sex?

Join me as I explore this question whilst simultaneously debunking ideas around gender that I believe could do with an upgrade.

    Enjoy!

  • Ep 3: "I said sorry, why are you still mad?!" - The 5 Apology Languages
    2020/12/06

Continuing on from last week's conversation, on today's episode of The Seasoned Woman, we talk about one of the sisters of the "5 Love Languages" phenomena, apology languages.

Have you ever felt an even greater sense of frustration with someone after they have apologised to you? Like they were better off not saying anything at all? They may have expressed their sincerity but for some reason you just can't accept it wholeheartedly.

Or maybe you have been the person met with the rejection of an apology, or felt stuck as to how to express yourself in a way that the person would understand.

Perhaps this episode can share a little insight into some of the reasons why we may find ourselves in these situations and as always, bring us a little closer to understanding yet another nuanced aspect of life.

  • Ep 2: The infamous "5 Love Languages"
    2020/11/29

On the second episode of The Seasoned Woman we talk about love, expression and more specifically some of the popular paradigms also known as "Love Languages", that we may align with when trying to show our commitment to the people we care about.

If you've absolutely never heard of love languages then this episode is for you.

If you have already heard about love languages and enjoy the conversation this is also for you.

Either way, I hope this episode brings a little insight.

  • Ep 1: "I have no friends", is it really a red flag?
    2020/11/18

On the debut episode of The Seasoned Woman, we discuss one of the many topics close to my heart - friendships.

If you've ever felt excluded, lonely or unable to find your 'people', this episode looks at the heart of why that may be and hopes to say "I understand". There are so many ways life can impact relationships and so many reasons we can choose empathy when witnessing people having this experience. So to all those who have lived this, are currently living this or want to understand a little more, this is for you.
