    Have you ever wondered why people end their prayers with amen? One of the definitions is, “Let it be.” When ending our prayers, as we see in this verse, we should praise God, not because He needs it, but because we do. When we ask for something, we should praise God to remind us of Who He is and then put our faith in agreement and say, “Amen.” This is certainly not the only way to pray, because prayer is just talking to God wherever you are. This whole prayer was simply an example Jesus was teaching the people. Marcus shares this devotional on why we end prayers in this way.

    Do you know people who will not forgive no matter what happens? Jesus mentioned we need to forgive our debts, which can be sin. This is not just forgiveness from Him. We need to forgive others who have wronged us, too. Jesus so freely died for our sins, and forgave us, because He loves us so much. We are commanded to love others, even if they are still unkind to us. Tricia’s devotional is about having our debt of sin cancelled and releasing our grip on others.
