  • Behind the Walls – The Hole in the Wall Group
    2025/06/08

In this powerful episode, we sit down with members of the Hole in the Wall Group of Narcotics Anonymous—some of whom found recovery while incarcerated at Oregon State Penitentiary and now carry the message back inside from the outside. Also joining us are the group’s former club president, their current outside GSR, and Chris B., a contributor to the blog “NA-supported Recovery Behind the Walls.”

Together, we explore the legacy of a group that has been transforming lives since 1988. From its roots as an inmate-led NA meeting to becoming a cornerstone of recovery behind the walls, the Hole in the Wall Group has been a beacon of hope for decades. These members share their stories of freedom, service, and continued commitment to carrying the message where it’s needed most.

This episode is a tribute to the power of recovery, the impact of service, and the spiritual awakening that can happen—even in the darkest places.

  • Jimmy S. (Las Vegas, NV)
    2025/06/01

This week on The Living Clean Podcast, we’re honored to welcome back a familiar voice and a true force in recovery: Jimmy S. from Las Vegas, Nevada. Clean since November 2, 1984, Jimmy is no stranger to our listeners—he first joined us during the “Conscious Contact” episode, where he was the ninth person to share.

Recently, we had the privilege of hearing Jimmy speak as a main speaker at NCCNA in Sacramento, and he lit the room up with his presence and message. Jimmy isn’t just an incredible storyteller—he’s one of those rare people who makes you feel like you’re the only person in the world when you’re talking to him. Genuine, grounded, and full of heart.

We’re beyond grateful to have him on the podcast again. He’s the kind of dude you don’t forget. Hope y’all enjoy this one.

  • IDT- Reimagining & Revitalizing NA Service
    2025/05/25

In this episode, we dive into the current NA Issue Discussion Topic (IDT): Reimagining and Revitalizing Service Committees. Recorded live from our workshop-style session, we explore how the pandemic permanently changed how we serve and how our service structures are (or aren’t) keeping up.

Through large-group inventory, small-group brainstorms, and action planning, we unpack what’s working, what’s not, and what the Fellowship can do to move from ideas to meaningful change. Topics include:

    • Making service more attractive and accessible
    • Addressing structural barriers in local service
    • Mentorship, planning, and scanning in action
    • Real stories and real solutions from members in the trenches

This isn’t just theory—it’s a practical guide to refreshing our commitment to carrying the message. Whether your area is struggling or thriving, there’s something here to spark your next step in service.

  • The Gratitude Exercise: A Two-Part Series (Part 1)
    2025/05/04

In this week’s episode, we dive into a special gratitude exercise created by Brady D. and our cohost Francis — an idea born from a late-night conversation at the Out of the Darkness Into the Light convention in Decatur, Alabama earlier this year. Just a group of addicts sitting around, kicking around ideas for the podcast, when the concept of a structured gratitude practice came to life.

What started as a simple conversation turned into a one-month gratitude exercise, broken down into four weeks with specific goals and objectives. Several members took part in the exercise, both personally and through our Facebook page. In this two-part series, we’ll be sharing a few of their experiences and reflections.

We hope you enjoy the journey — and maybe even feel inspired to try the exercise yourself.
