このコンテンツについて

How do you make working for yourself the best decision you ever made and the best job you’ve ever had? That’s the question we seek to answer through short, vibrant conversations with people (just like you) who have already done it.

This is NOT a podcast that promotes hustle culture, growth hacks, extreme scale or celebrates success at all costs. Instead, we talk to successful small business owners about how they built sustainable businesses that positively impact them, their families, employees, customers, and the planet.

We seek to answer the big questions:

How to consistently pay yourself a living wage? How to have the freedom to take holidays whenever you want? How to take parental leave as a small business owner? How to make time and space to think strategically? How to turn your passion into a business? How to build your business into an asset you can sell? And most importantly, how to switch off at the end of the day and be present with your family?

Join me, Ben Le Ralph, joined every week with an experienced guest host for an honest conversation about what it really looks like to build a successful, Impact Positive business.

  • Jack of all trades with Sanjay Rajapaksha
    2023/05/03

In today's episode, I'll be joined by Sanjay, who is a freelance software designer whose company name is Its Me Sanjay. Which is easy to remember and bloody charming.

Sanjay and I worked together many years ago, and he is the closest thing to a real-life Ted Lasso as you’re ever likely to meet.

So in this episode, we talk about the power of being a generalist. People often quote the phrase, "jack of all trades master of none", but forget the end of the quote is "but oftentimes better than a master of one". We talked about the role risk plays in learning and how sometimes the best form of marketing is just being authentically yourself.

Which if you’re Sanjay, I totally get it; the guy's amazing.

While we had some sound trouble on this one, I still hope you enjoy.

  • Sustainable Love with Jacinta Le Ralph
    2023/04/03

Welcome to The Impact PosCast, where we explore how to build valuable businesses that make a positive impact because we believe you should be able to have both.

In today's episode, we were joined by Jacinta Le Ralph, the owner of Champagne Electric, a collective of awesome wedding vendors who come together to make sustainable weddings that bring the vibes.

Jacinta is my wife, and I wanted to have her on as part of the first episode because without her starting Champagne Electric and all the subsequent business strategy chats in long car rides to Canberra and over a beer or 2 on a Friday night, The Impact Positive Company wouldn't be here today or at least it would look very different.

In this, the first episode, I wanted to bring you, the audience, an abridged version of some of those conversations.

We talked about how to embrace your values and make them a core part of your business; we talked about the role risk plays in starting a business; we had a chat about how Jactina approaches creating sustainable weddings that don't require you to sacrifice your wedding day experience plus a whole lot more along the way.
