George Knapp is the chief investigative reporter for KLAS TV, the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas. He started at the station in 1981 as a general assignment reporter, later became a news anchor , commentator, and—since 1995, head of the I-Team. Knapp was known for his reports about organized crime, government corruption, cold case murders, and animal welfare. He began reporting about UFOs in 1987, pursuing stories about alleged reverse engineering programs in the Nevada desert. He's been reporting on UFO matters ever since.
In addition to his job at KLAS, he is a weekend host of Coast to Coast AM, a producer and co-host of the podcast Weaponized, and has co-authored three books about UFO-related investigations and Skinwalker Ranch. For the past 16 months, he's been traveling the world with a team from Netflix for a new series "Investigation Alien" which will debut on November 8th.
