After an extended “vacation”, during which Kevin became a responsible adult (genuinely alarming) and Izzie took up stalking (she didn’t, I just have terrible hearing) we’ve returned to the land of podcasting like prodigal children with microphones.

This episode finds us in a teepee at the delightfully earthy Wood Festival - yes, a real-life canvas triangle in a real-life field. We’re surrounded by trees, tunes, and the legendary Bennett family - the magical minds behind Truck Festival, Truck Store, Wood Festival, September Song and much much more.

We wanted to visit the Wood Festival because it’s all about the things we should be doing more of - enjoying the world around us, connecting with nature, speaking to actual humans (without a screen in the way), and daring to enjoy the weather… even when it’s British. The good wood stuff!

There’s also chat about de-peaking (it’s grim, it’s real, it’s someone’s actual job), festival shenanigans and why Kevin won’t go near a loo unless it has a view (ooh that rhymed!)

Look who finally showed up to their own podcast...

It’s your fashionably late (but still bloody brilliant) hosts of The Good Stuff Podcast, Kev and Izzie.

We've been gone longer than your houseplants can survive without guilt-watering and yes, waiting for us has been like Glastonbury ticket day, or maybe you weren’t waiting. Either way… we’re back. Sorry. Not sorry.

So yeah, we went AWOL. Well, Kev did. He started a business like some sort of responsible adult (who knew) and Izzie didn’t take up stalking, we just misheard her. Classic us.

This episode is only nine months late (give us a break!) Though that is long enough to have a baby. We didn’t. Together or separately. Just to be clear (or did we?! No. We didn’t.)

But we did record in a tepee at the incredible Wood Festival 2024. Which, let’s be honest, is cooler than childbirth. So buckle up, tune in, and get ready for the episode that took longer to land than Avatar 3.
