  • #99 The Outrun
    2024/11/12

Amy Liptrot’s memoir is hard-hitting to say the least. Nora Fingscheidt’s 2024 film adaptation forces one to think about addiction - what drives the journey to sobriety is Rona’s relationship with the land and the sea, the intersectionality between the two, and how our human consciousness fits in. To analyse yourself, you must take yourself out of yourself—like a seal out of water.

  • A Conversation With Hendrik Harms & Kirstie Gregory (Worcester Film Festival Special)
    2024/09/25

This is the fourth and final episode of our 4-part mini series in partnership with Worcester Film Festival. With the first day of Worcester Film Festival starting today (25th September 2024), we've been building the excitement with 4 exclusive episodes featuring filmmakers and actors whose films will be screened at this year's festival.

In this finale, it's the big one! Marcus has a conversation with the driving forces behind Worcester Film Festival, festival organisers, Hendrik Harms and Kirstie Gregory. With the festival heading into its fourth year, Hendrik and Kirstie took the time out to tell Marcus just what they have planned for this year's edition of the festival.

Marcus always loves speaking with them both and this episode was no different. Throughout the conversation, Hendrik and Kirstie share their excitement for this year's festival, give updates on what has changed since last year and quite simply throw plenty of film excitement and enthusiasm our way. Which is exactly what we love on this podcast.

This mini-series has been a joy all round and to top it off with a conversation with the organisers really is the icing on the cake. This episode is your guide to Worcester Film Festival but also film festivals in general. So if you're intrigued about what it takes to pull together a festival like this you'll absolutely love this conversation.
