If we were to be honest, I think we all would have to admit that somewhere, sometime we all have asked or thought; “But What About?”, You know what I mean; a doubt concerning God? This week, Rick Atchley, the lead minister with “The Hills Church” in Fort Worth Texas continues His series of messages: “But What About?”, answering difficult questions of faith that are from the hearts of just regular people like you and me. So, have you ever asked in your own mind “but what about” some of God’s seemingly extreme harshness in the Bible’s Old Testament? And how do we mesh that view of God with what we see in the New Testament? In today’s message Rick Atchley takes a step back to get a “Big Picture View” of what’s going on and why sometimes God’s perspective of People / Events may be beyond our limited scope. So, here's Rick to bring some perspective to Judgement, Love, and forgiveness and how we can know and trust the God who bears scars that should have been ours! He Gets Us is a series of lessons based on eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life and how the story of Jesus is for all of us! This month, Gene Appel, lead minister with East Side Christian Church, Anaheim California is leading us, as we examine the life of Jesus through the eyes of those that knew him personally. Together, we will find hope and purpose because HE GETS US. Last week it was the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead. This week it is the story of Jesus’ meeting with a Jewish leader named Nicodemus. In that meeting, Jesus speaks perhaps the most well-known verse in the Bible, John 3:16. The Apostle John had a very clear purpose for what he wrote in the Gospel that bears his name. John says, these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. So, here’s Gene to share a conversation from the life of Jesus that has eternal significance for all of us To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/326/29

  • King on a Cross
    2025/03/27
A subject that Jesus talked about again and again was the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught that God wants us to take on His Kingdom View; a view not based on the temporary but on the eternal, because His Kingdom is forever. This month, Aaron Brockett, the lead minister with the Traders Point Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana has been leading us through a series he is calling modgniK. modgniK is simply Kingdom spelled backwards. Jesus has invited all of us to be a part of His kingdom, a kingdom that through the lens of our current culture’s World View seems very backwards and upside-down. Today, Aaron wraps up the modgniK series with a look at the thing that really sets God’s Kingdom apart from every other kind of kingdom. In this Kingdom, this King gave His life as a ransom for us!
