In this episode we deconstruct Season 3 where threadsstarted off tangled, but we held onto hope that they could be straightened out. Sadly, the bitter end left us with a bad taste in our mouths. But never fear, Dear Listeners, it wasn’t all bad. We were, at least, able to enjoy the hotchocolate.

There are favorite performances to celebrate, songs toapplaud, and scenes that played out to perfection. But we wouldn’t be true citizen detectives if we didn’t look at this from all angles.

So Jamie points out some missed opportunities and makes a case for why switching the fate of two characters would have made the season end with real sass and way more purpose.

Then Jen has some advice on what shouldstay and what should go. Then firmly expresses her need to have one question answered – and it’s all about the significant eye contacts.

In this episode we deconstruct the Season 3 finale Ep 10, “Full Circle” where a long time ago, in a wilderness, far, far away from the Real World, things stop being polite and start getting real.

The mystery of Pit Girl is no more, and though we will missher, at least she went out with great hair. And Lottie’s fantasy design finally comes to life as she creates an outfit fit for the queen.

Jen finds more to like in this week’s episode, but the linednotepad is not one of them. And though this week is better it is still not the Walter/Misty Rom-Com we requested. So, it may be too late, but Jamie suggests Faulkner would have been an asset to the writer’s room.

As the chase to the end of the story of the Yellowjacketsmoves down the field, loose ends are tied up in not so nice bows and Jen sparks a fire in Jamie when she reveals some online gossip making the future, well, even more uncertain.

In this episode we deconstruct Season 3 Ep 9, “How The Story Ends”, where we really should have fastened our seatbelts because the plot is flying downhill. But if Chekhov has anything to do with it, we won’t have enough gas to get to the bottom of the mysteries anyway.

Jen tries her best to keep us on track but the map we have made is in fact proving to be way off course. Even so, she grounds us with the Hero's Journey which leads to plans for some bonus episodes.

Although Jamie brings up her theory that Jen hates salesmen- you know what Jen loves– fireplaces! And with her knowledge of fire she roasts the unlikely unfolding of events in the present day. We know how science works, tv writer’s room, do you?

In this episode we deconstruct Season 3 Ep 7, “Croak”, where the frogs aren’t the only ones looking around with hungry eyes.

This week Jamie serves up her last episode of the seasonwith a few sides of fables and folklores about frogs and freaking loud females. But don’t worry, she passes the ball to Jen who is sure to keep speculation station buzzing for the last three episodes of season three because FACTS -she IS good at watching tv.

In the wilderness we see our girls run as a hive mind –except Lottie who is just out-of-her-mind, while in the present day we see road-trip shenanigans that only modern day technology can create.

This week the Inn is noisy with burps, trains, and bellylaughs that produce a snort from one of our co-hosts, but that doesn’t stop our intrepid hosts from providing the analytical insights you know and love.

In this episode we deconstruct Season 3 Ep 6, “Thanksgiving (Canada)”, where a promise is kept despite the repercussions – and we couldn’t be more grateful.

It doesn’t take much for Jamie to cry in this one, but thankfully Plato stopped by to check on her. We just can’t get rid of that guy! And Jen shares that the real way to move through spiritual winter is to let a good thing begood. So, keep that money, Lisa!

Also, we learn a valuable lesson about knowing when to pass the ball and when to shut the fuck up and be part of the team.

In this episode we deconstruct Season 3 Ep 5, “Did Tai DoThat”, where the wilderness continues to grapple with morality and the present day struggles to pick a genre and stick with it.

This week Jamie impresses with her Urkle and unpacks even more Greek mythology- including a call back to an earlier question that we had here at the Inn about fatal flaws. Jen has something to say about people getting what they deserve and reminds us of cult favorite – Bruce.

Then Jamie theorizes about the bad thing Shauna may have done after the Yellowjacket’s are rescued and again brings up THE big bad from Buffy. This week’s special guests include- Lady Macbeth, the Oracle of Delphi,the Suicide King and Achilles. And that is NOT Jen’s dog barking- but it is Jen building a bridge between this week’s episode and the plot lines in Lost.

Then Jen points out some incongruent personalitytraits between the teens and adults and yet another way that Shauna is being weird with meat.
