Do you remember Mass Production Firecracker. It's a 1979 song by the band and Mass Production is a fun disco musical group best known for that Firecracker hit number four on the R&B chart in the late summer of 1979.

Firecracker is a dynamite explosion of sound that's bursting with energy. The track fuses soul, fun, and a dash of the party spirit that was sweeping the nation.

From the very first Firecracker ignites a spark that pulls you right into its groove with a catchy baseline that's as smooth as silk. You'll find your feet tapping and your body swaying before you even know it. The brass section blazes through with those killer horns, And let's not forget the dazzling vocal harmonies that light up the track calling everyone to the dance floor.

The song Firecracker is the perfect anthem for those Summer nights filled with barbecues, dancing under the stars, and enjoying life to the fullest. Whether you're at a party or cruising with the top down, this tune is a surefire way to elevate the mood and spread good vibes.
Somebody's outside shooting firecrackers right now in the neighborhood.

This is Gail Nobles signing off with a reminder: Pull up those great tunes. Make those playlist and keep music grooving. Until next time, keep music in your heart and mind.

    Intro by: Gail Nobles

Ernest Ernie & the Sincerities has a single entitled Do Something.

    I know
I know, my brother, that your heart is dying
    And I know
I know, my sister, that you're tired of trying
    And we used to say
    That we shall overcome
But with all the dues that they refuse to pay
    We've grown cold and numb...

That’s just part of the first verse.

And the Chorus it says: And I know, I know, I know
    This world is so divided
And you know, you know, you know
But what are you gonna do about it?

You gotta do something, say something.

  • James Brown in Rome 5:12:24 1.31 PM
    2024/05/12
    Story by: Gail Nobles

James Brown was live in Rome in 1971. In Rome, he was singing Sex Machine, Give It Up or Turn It Loose,It's A Man's World, Soul Power, Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved, and Sunny. The show originally aired on an Italian music program Teatro 10.

Rome was a good place for James Brown to perform. It looked as if Rome loved his entertainment and performance. They loved James Brown. There was great applause. Featured in the show was Bootsy and Phelps Collins.

Before the Internet came along, I couldn't really imagine James Brown in Rome. I have never been to Rome, and I always think of its past. I'm sure now there is a modern side to Rome. When I saw the video clip of James Brown performing there, I had no idea that where he was performing was Rome. I thought it was America.

James Brown performed in Rome the year I was born, 1971. So you know I didn't know anything about James Brown and Rome then. Then I learned later as I grew older about James Brown. He was a man born in Barnwell, South Carolina, and I was born in North Carolina. James Brown was born down south like myself, and I learned that he performed in Rome; a man with so much talent. Before I learned about where he was born, I thought he was born in New York or California. With the talent James Brown had, he prove it doesn't matter where you come from. Know I see how he became successful and was able to travel to Rome. James Brown shared what he called the Funk; a genre he invented. The Godfather of Soul.
