The Anabolic Cartel Podcast Episode 30 | with Tristan Nazelrod WADA tested USPL, IPF Powerflifting athlete

  • サマリー

  • This episode introduces how Tristan got started in powerlifting and what he does for a living. We discussed what it means to be a professional powerlifter and compete in USA PowerLifting (USAPL) as well as the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF). Both organizations mandate drug testing. We also discuss how World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) testing works. We enumerated his totals and best meets to date. He is currently one week out from a meet in Morgantown, West Virginia where he plans to hit a 1900 total at 264lbs. Tristan is a 6-time USA national winner of his class and a 5-time Team USA Competitor. His best totals are 340kg (748lbs) / 215kg (473lbs) / 345kg (759lbs). Tristan sets a prime example of what hard work and dedication can do for an athlete when they are committed to succeeding. The fact that he can hit these kinds of numbers at 25 years old while being a strict drug-tested athlete is truly impressive. It is something that should be acknowledged more. People rarely reach up to these kinds of numbers drug-free. Most can’t hit these numbers using various performance-enhancing drugs. These boost the athlete’s physical advantage but unfortunately, at the cost of their health. With that in mind, it is amazing to see that this is possible without any drug.  The fact that he is drug-free and uses very little over-the-counter supplementation is commendable. He has nothing against Performance-Enhancing Drugs (PED) but at his age, he knows it does not align with his goals. It is quite profound to see this type of dedication and commitment in a world where everyone wants to see results overnight. It is refreshing to see someone who is going after their goals without any type of shortcuts. You can reach Tristan on Instagram: @tank_power917 to see his lifts. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in sponsoring him.
