The popular Ford Heritage Vault site is expanding to include more recent vehicles…with images, brochures and more…all available for free. Ford Archives and Heritage Brand Manager Ted Ryan…

“When we launched it, we launched it in conjunction with the company’s 120th anniversary, so we had images of vehicles from 1903 to 2003. So we’re taking the vehicles now from 2003 up to date so that you can get your most current Mustang images and the other ones that we had left in that gap.”

The expansion also includes access to hundreds of historic press releases dating back to the 1920s. The site…again it is free…is FordHeritageVault.com.

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. The Indy Autonomous Challenge is coming to the Grand Prix of Monterey this summer to jump start the event…and will feature international teams competing with autonomous vehicles. CEO Paul Mitchell..

“We are going to have a time trial competition …so it will be …the winning team will be the team that is able to navigate the circuit with the fastest time. And probably by next year, if we go back, we will have some head to head racing with multiple cars. It takes place on the 24th of July and as you suggested, is sort of a kick off for the Grand Prix of Monterey weekend with the NTT Indy Car Series.”

The site…offering free access to images and brochures….started out a few years ago covering the first century of the storied automaker. Now, Archives and Heritage Brand Manager Ted Ryan says…they have added vehicles that are pretty close to current day. And when it comes to which vehicles are the most popular on the site..

“With the cars, it’s always the Mustang. Mustang and GT. And LeMans is coming up. I am heading over on Sunday to set up an exhibit at LeMans. People are always coming in an looking for exhibits on the GTs or for the Ford super cars and Mustangs. The F-150 may take the world to work but people go looking for pictures of the Mustang.”
