  • From Tesla Ethics to Zombie Apocalypse Strategies: A Rambling Journey

Two friends relaxing on the couches take you on a wild conversational journey that defies categorization. With Angelo absent, Doug and Ryan explore the fascinating implications of Elon Musk's political pivot and how it might affect Tesla's customer base. They thoughtfully analyze how vehicle preferences often align with political identities—conservatives gravitating toward traditional American trucks while Tesla's futuristic aesthetic appeals to a different demographic.

The conversation flows organically into nostalgic territory as they reminisce about car culture's evolution through iconic film franchises. From the original Fast and Furious to classics like Dukes of Hazzard and Smokey and the Bandit, they trace how automotive entertainment has shaped generations of enthusiasts. This leads to a critical examination of dangerous modern trends like street takeovers and subway surfing, balancing humor with genuine concern about thrill-seeking behaviors.

Perhaps the most entertaining segment emerges when they debate zombie apocalypse survival strategies. Their unexpectedly detailed plan involving securing ports and assembling a fleet of boats demonstrates creative problem-solving skills that are both absurd and strangely practical. The hosts' natural chemistry shines through their rapid transitions between topics—from the Marx Brothers' comedy legacy to the frustrating business model of Tesla selling cars with artificially disabled features that require additional payment to activate.

Throughout this rambling yet engaging episode, Doug and Ryan showcase their ability to find humor and insight in unlikely places. Their authentic, unfiltered conversation style creates an intimate listening experience that feels like joining friends for an evening of thought-provoking banter. Whether debating the ethics of subscription-based services or pondering hypothetical fight scenarios, they maintain a conversational warmth that keeps you invested in even the most outlandish discussions. Ready to join this unpredictable conversation? Hit play and see where these wandering minds take you next.

  • The World Makes No Sense But We're Talking About It Anyway
    2025/04/08

    Send us a text

Welcome to the raw, unfiltered world of Talking Shit, where hosts Doug, Ryan, and Angelo leave nothing off the table. This episode takes you on a wild ride through the strangest corners of American culture and controversy, all with the brutal honesty you won't hear anywhere else.

The conversation kicks off with a look at how technology has transformed our attention spans and educational environments, with schools now implementing phone-locking pouches to keep students focused. But that's just the warm-up. Before long, we're diving deep into the unexpected world of professional RC car racing, where drivers can earn six figures and command serious sponsorships in a subculture most people don't even know exists.

Things take a turn toward the explicit as we share our most memorable (and sometimes regrettable) strip club experiences. From aerial performers who could rival Cirque du Soleil to awkward encounters with dancers who probably should have been at home with their newborns, these stories provide a hilariously candid look at adult entertainment from the customer's perspective.

We don't shy away from heavier topics either, tackling immigration history, cultural assimilation, and the complex dynamics of race in America. Our discussion on the Tiger King phenomenon examines America's strange relationship with exotic animals and the larger-than-life personalities who collect them. We even wade into political waters with unfiltered commentary on figures like Andrew Tate and the inequities in justice systems worldwide.

Throughout it all, we maintain our signature style: completely uncensored, occasionally offensive, but always authentic. This is conversation without the safety net – the kind you might have with your closest friends when nobody's watching.

Ready to hear what people really think when the filters come off? Subscribe, leave a review, and join us again next week for more unfiltered takes on everything worth talking about – and plenty that probably isn't.

  • Unfiltered: Free Speech in a Politically Correct World
    2025/03/30

    Send us a text

Cancel culture has dramatically altered the landscape of humor, conversation, and social interaction—but at what cost? In this raw, unfiltered episode, we explore how seemingly innocuous jokes now receive scrutiny that would have been unimaginable just a decade ago.

The conversation takes a deep dive into the fascinating internal conflict brewing within the LGBTQ+ movement. We examine how some lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals are beginning to distance themselves from the transgender and queer components, suggesting that the T and Q have potentially compromised broader acceptance by "taking it too far." This discussion reveals the complex nature of identity politics and raises important questions about coalition movements representing groups with sometimes competing interests.

Our hosts share personal anecdotes about navigating this new social landscape, from awkward interactions in restaurants to the experience of trying to explain today's social norms to previous generations. The genuine confusion many feel when traditional humor suddenly becomes taboo highlights a significant cultural shift happening in real-time around us.

We also tackle youth sports culture, technology's influence on our worldviews, and even the supernatural—from haunted Teslas to the psychology behind why some people believe in ghosts. The conversation weaves through American food culture, with a particularly passionate debate about what constitutes authentic pizza versus the franchise variations that dominate middle America.

Whether you're feeling alienated by today's hyper-sensitive climate or trying to understand why certain language has fallen out of favor, this episode offers perspectives that challenge conventional thinking and encourage genuine dialogue. Join us for this thought-provoking conversation that proves nothing is off-limits when you're Talking Shit.

  • The Toilet's Already Full: A Raw Take on Government Spending
    2025/03/12

    Send us a text

Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Are Digging Up More Than Just Bureaucratic Bones

Elon Musk’s latest side quest—leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—is exposing government waste so absurd it makes a $10,000 Pentagon toilet seat look like a bargain. Among the greatest hits: Social Security checks being sent to people between the ages of 100 and 189 (spoiler: many of them are long dead), and a retirement system that processes paperwork based on how many envelopes can fit inside an elevator. (Yes, that’s a real thing. No, we don’t know why.)

Meanwhile, Trump’s second term is moving at breakneck speed, leaving bureaucrats scrambling like interns on coffee runs. Judges are trying to block reforms by filing petitions so fast they’ve basically created taxpayer-funded "no-show jobs" for themselves. Ironically, while entire programs are being slashed, DOGE has already saved American taxpayers billions—directly contradicting critics who insist the only way to fix the budget is to make billionaires cry.

And speaking of questionable financial decisions, let’s talk about energy. Turns out, OPEC still has the world by the gas nozzle, and America's previous strategy of selling off its oil reserves to keep gas prices low is now costing taxpayers dearly. Who could’ve guessed that selling oil cheap and then having to buy it back at a premium wasn’t the best plan? (Oh, right—literally everyone with a calculator.)

We also dive into the chaos of campaign finance, the government’s questionable environmental priorities, and the ever-worsening game of “Will Social Security Even Exist When I Retire?” Trump’s idea of eliminating taxes on Social Security income might help, but unless bigger changes happen, seniors may soon have to choose between groceries and heating. No pressure, though!

Will America enter the "golden age" Trump promised, or are we on track for another season of Government Waste: The Reality Show? Stick around as we continue exposing the greatest hits of bureaucratic blunders, corruption, and tax-funded nonsense. Subscribe now—because laughing is better than crying.

    2025/02/27

    Send us a text

Buckle up, degenerates! In this episode of Talking Shit, we break down the Super Bowl—the plays, the halftime show, and whether that final call was worse than your ex’s life choices. Then, we take a hard pivot into world chaos with the latest on the Ukraine-Russia war—because nothing says “fun podcast” like global conflict!

But the real insanity? Government spending. We dig into the DOGE program (no, not the meme coin, sadly) and some of the most ridiculous ways your tax dollars are getting torched—like research on what legally counts as a sandwich (spoiler: Congress has thoughts).

It’s a wild ride of sports, war, and WTF moments—so grab a drink, lower your expectations, and let’s talk some shit.

  • Marvel Rivals, California Fires, and Mushrooms That Control Your Brain
    2025/01/16

In this episode, we dive deep into the wild world of modern culture, starting with the endless debates over diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the world of Western video game developers. We throw in some spicy thoughts on Marvel Rivals and the state of Warhammer 40K, because, hey, why not? But that's not all—we also take a hilarious jab at the absurdity of high-brow art exhibits that the ultra-rich seem to love, and question what the heck is going on with the brain-melting fungus that’s taking over larger creatures. And of course, we can’t ignore the raging fires in California that just keep making headlines. It's an hour of laughs, rants, and the occasional moment of "wait, what?"
