Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins in extra innings in a thrilling 11-inning game. Spencer Torkelson threw the game-winning run out at home plate in the 10th inning before Gleybor Torres hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th that would prove to be the winning run. Riley Greene hit his 28th home run of the season and made a spectacular catch in left field as part of a several highlight reel defensive plays by the Detroit Tigers. Tarik Skubal started the game for the Detroit Tigers and went 7 innings allowing three earned runs while striking out 3. Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins will play the second game of the series tomorrow night.
